This position reports to the Director. Marketing manager in the wholesale furnishings industry oversees the development and execution of strategies to promote products such as curtains, carpets, wallpaper, and bedding to retailers, contractors, and other businesses. Marketing manager analyses market trends, identify target customer segments, and work on building brand awareness through various channels like advertising, trade shows, and digital marketing. Job Description

Individual to be involved in:
1. Develop engaging content, including promotional materials, social media posts, and product descriptions, to effectively market the company’s range of products such as curtains, carpets, wallpaper, and bedding.
2. Plan and execute targeted marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and drive product sales, utilizing various channels such as digital advertising, email marketing, and trade shows.
3. Provide direct sales assistance to walk-in customers, helping them understand product offerings and making recommendations to drive purchases and enhance customer satisfaction.
4. Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and competitor strategies, ensuring the company’s offerings remain competitive and relevant.
5. Maintain and strengthen the company’s brand image, ensuring consistent messaging across all marketing materials and customer interactions.
6. Track and analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and sales efforts, using data to make informed decisions for future strategies and continuous improvement.

• To study tender / construction drawings, specifications and contracts to understand project requirements.
• Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status to the management.
• To ensure supervisors & chargehand met client & regulatory requirements.
• To ensure proper communication to all levels.
• To handle inventory management, sales documents and invoicing.
• To handle customer service and aftersales management.
• Manage and update all workers personal record weekly.
• Data entry for company account.

• Handle incoming and outgoing mail.
• Handling MOM matters including work pass application and renewal etc.
• General contracts administration, including payment, claims and V.O.
• Negotiation with subcontractors / suppliers, based on good knowledge of market rates.
• Maintenance of proper documentation.
• Collect tender documents and check for completeness.
• Study and review the tender documents, which include specifications, drawings, commercial requirements and technical requirements.
• To co-ordinate with the relevant departments on commercial items e.g. insurance cover etc.
• To co-ordinate and obtain technical information in order to do cost estimates.
• Where required, to carry out material take-off including man-hours estimates; obtaining material / equipment prices from both local and oversee vendors; obtaining quotes on services ad subcontracting works.
• To attend site visits and clarification meetings with the customer.

Marketing/Branding Responsibilities:

1) Donor management

• Establish and maintain a database of donors, categorised by corporate (active/passive), individuals, (active/passive) and lapsed donors
• Act as a key liaison with donors, co-ordinating and working with fundraising volunteers to maintain regular contact through emails (templated by category) and follow up on fundraising leads
• Actively grow our corporate network and execute programmes to encourage corporate partnerships, and in turn, donations
• Generate monthly report based on the categories of donor

2) Fundraising activity management

• Annual budget planning and forecasting of fundraising calendar of events
• Brainstorm, set up and execute fundraising initiatives and campaigns
• Work with various departments within SOSD to produce fundraising publicity material for dissemination through various media channels and outlets
• Responsible for ongoing communication, tracking fundraising projects’ progress and status vs. schedule, timings, delays etc. and ensure that fundraising project trackers are always updated
• Manage logistics of fundraising events (virtual or in-ground) and ensure full compliance with regulations and policies, working with volunteers to steer project management to final delivery
• Manage, monitor and update all fundraising activities and events timelines and set realistic expectations with stakeholders
• Manage Sponsor-A-Dog Programme
• Create P&L report for individual campaigns and events

3) Adhere to SOSD Fundraising SOPs

• Monitor internal fundraising workflows, identify and make recommendations for areas for improvement
• Follow agreed workflows and utilise relevant project management tools

4) Volunteer management

• Manage a team of fundraising volunteers and assist in recruitment of suitable volunteers for the team

5) Healing Paws

• Oversee and support Healing Paws programme where needed

Requirements:

• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in marketing and/or fundraising

• Minimum diploma

• Good interpersonal and communication skills

• Good co-ordination skills and good in multitasking

• Able to work independently and being a teamplayer

• flexi working locations; WFH and may need to go SOSD shelter once in awhile depending on business needs

What you'll be doing

• Develop and implement detailed project plans, managing timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful and timely project completion
• Oversee and coordinate the work of contractors, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and efficient workflow
• Monitor construction progress, identifying and resolving any issues or risks that arise
• Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and company policies
• Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to provide input and resolve technical challenges
• Prepare and present progress reports to senior management, communicating project status, challenges, and mitigation strategies
• Assist with the development and implementation of quality control measures to maintain high standards of workmanship
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the construction team
