In this role, you will plan intelligent / autonomous systems to support the clinical and operational needs of EGH, aiming to achieve the mission and vision of the new institution in transforming healthcare service delivery. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the smooth operations of the Healthcare Living Lab (HLL) with the Development Secretariat, which is set up to conduct integration testing and trial new technologies. You will engage multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the successful and smooth implementation of these new technologies at EGH. Additionally, you will undertake and lead a team in research and development for the operation of intelligent systems for healthcare.
Job requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Computing Engineering
- At least 12 years of relevant experience with exposure at management level, and at least 5 years in software programming/ engineering/integration work
- Team player with excellent planning, analytical and communication skills
- Possess critical thinking skills and willingness to think outside the box
- Able to engage various stakeholders in a fluid environment and a growing organisation
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to challenging conditions
- Good knowledge of both front-end and back-end designs of products/-systems
- Familiarity with quick prototyping tools e.g. Unity, Wire framing, Solidworks
- Familiarity with management of engineering collaboration platforms e.g SLACK/GitHub
- Knowledge in areas such as
Robotic Platforms
- Familiarity with software development on/with robotic platforms, SLAM, or related fields.
- Experience in the following is preferred:
- Robot Operating System(ROS), Gazebo, Unity, Linux, OpenCV
- Robotics perception, LIDAR, object tracking, motion planning, machine learning, sensor fusion and system engineerin
- Embedded and real-time systems
- Algorithm development in C/C++, Python. Unix shell scripting
