We are looking for a dedicated Programme Coordinator to join our team and help promote the physical health and well-being of seniors. In this role, you will engage seniors in meaningful activities, deliver physical wellness programs within the community, and collaborate with local partners to create opportunities for seniors to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle.
Roles & Responsibilities
Engagement & Enrolment:
Handle walk-in inquiries, attend outreach sessions, and manage participant onboarding for Gymtonic programs.
Training & Supervision:
Lead and supervise Gymtonic training sessions, ensuring safe use of gym equipment and providing ongoing support to participants.
Assessment & Support:
Conduct pre- and post-assessments to track participant progress and provide support during sessions to ensure safety and well-being.
Daily Operations & Safety:
Oversee the gym's daily operations, ensuring a safe environment and adherence to safety protocols.
Community Building & Outreach:
Plan and organize physical activities for seniors, collaborate with local partners, and create an inclusive, supportive community environment.
Collaboration:
Work closely with colleagues across different programs to coordinate activities and share resources.
Administration:
Maintain accurate participant records, manage session logs, and handle administrative tasks such as data collection and report preparation.
Candidate Profile:
- Minimum diploma requirement, preferably in Sports & Exercise Science, Sports & Health, or Integrated Community Care.
- Passionate about working with seniors and caregivers in a community setting.
- Prior experience in working with seniors or in the social service sector is preferred.
- Basic understanding of exercise principles and anatomy is advantageous.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Motivational and interpersonal skills to inspire and engage gym members.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Attention to detail in administrative tasks and record-keeping.
- Proficiency in English (both written and spoken); fluency in a mother tongue language or dialect(s) is a plus.
