Key Responsibilities

• Lead the HR department and manage the full range of HR functions, including recruitment, training, work pass applications, payroll, compensation, union matters, and employee benefits.
• Collaborate with Directors to establish, upgrade, and propose improvements to HR systems and policies, and play a key role in drafting HR policies.
• Develop, monitor, and enhance HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization.
• Ensure and improve the integrity of HR system data.
• Act as the main contact for unions, MOM, and other third-party organizations on employee-related matters.
• Liaise and negotiate with insurers, brokers, or agents for the purchase and renewal of general and employee benefits insurance.
• Perform daily HR tasks in accordance with regulations in a timely and accurate manner in the absence of subordinates.
• Prepare manpower budgets and monitor their usage.
• Assist Directors in developing, reviewing, and managing performance appraisals and promotions.
• Ensure compliance with statutory reporting and filing requirements.
• Provide management with updated market statistics on the economy, business outlook, and labor market.
• Undertake any other duties as assigned by the Directors.

Job Role

• Collaborate with business leaders to implement HR strategies that meet department goals.

Requirements

Fabrica AI is creating a future where ideating and developing a robot for any task takes days, not years. We believe that by training end to end controls in simulation with reinforcement learning and above that iterating hardware designs, we can automate the whole development process.

To validate our approaches for our AI system and to collect data, we invented an automatic tile grouting robot that boosts productivity by up to 5x and are piloting it on construction sites in Singapore managed by Woh Hup, BHCC, Gin Chia, Soilbuild, Chan Rong Fen, and Dragages. Tile grouting is the process of filling up the gaps between tiles after the tiles have been laid. We invented a patented robot that is able to automatically grout and clean tile gaps with only a press of a button.

We’ve raised over 3m USD from Hoxton Ventures, Credo Ventures, our Professor from Cambridge University, Woh Hup, ffVC, and the owner of BHCC (listed construction company). We’ve 2500sqft of space in Singapore where we have over 20 team members, and 1200sqft of space in Czechia where we have our software team.

HR Shared Services Operations

• Oversee Data Management: Manage and update employee data in the HRIS to ensure information is accurate and timely for payroll processing.

• Onboarding and Offboarding: Handle processes for new hires and exiting employees.

• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement in HR processes and implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Engage in different C&B related projects such as salary proposal, benefits benchmarking, annual review process for salary adjustment, bonus and incentive.

• Maintain consistent deployment of compensation policy and practice, identifying inconsistencies and develop corrective actions. Act as a change agent by facilitating, managing and implementing the necessary modifications to ensure that it is communicated & executed effectively and accurately.

• Review of compensation plans with monetary and non-monetary benefits based on employee needs.

• Support in preparation of C&B data for analysis and reporting to identify trends, gaps and areas for improvement.

Recruitment & Onboarding:

• Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.

• Conduct onboarding sessions for new hires and ensure they have the necessary resources.

• Prepare and issue employment contracts for new hires and amendments for existing employees.

• Ensure contracts comply with legal requirements and company policies.

Payroll Management:

• Process payroll on a timely basis, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.

• Maintain payroll records and handle payroll-related inquiries.

Work Passes and Visa Applications:

• Manage visa application processes for foreign employees, ensuring compliance with immigration regulations.

• Liaise with government agencies and legal advisors regarding visa and work permit issues.
