· Comfortable with handling large number of library materials and lifting heavy carton boxes. May also be required to access higher racks via platform ladder or step stools.

Job Description

Packing of library materials

· Collect and sort library materials by libraries, categories and sub-categories.

· Prepare the sorted materials for delivery to libraries which includes transferring of packed boxes to designated pallet, stretch-wrap full pallets and updating of stock cards.

· Maintain records of the packed library materials by categories.

· Prepare Delivery Orders and ensure correct number of pallets are released to transporter.

· Pick and pack library materials according to the pick lists provided and check that the library materials are in good physical condition.

· Scan library materials picked for delivery at the NLB borrowing station provided and pack them into bundles as indicated in the pick lists.

· Print mailing labels and ensure that all packing and labelling are done accurately to avoid error in deliveries.

· Receive returned library materials and scan them at the Book Sorting Station.

· Sort the returned library materials into the respective package numbers and shelve at the correct location on the racks.

· Update the package numbers issued and returned in the master list.

· Use of pallet jack to transfer pallets for storage, shift pallets to maximise storage and move loaded pallets to the holding area for delivery collection. Ensure safety in operating the pallet jack.

Job Description & Requirements

* The HR and Admin Executive provides HR administrative support to various stakeholders.

* Support various department/project for stationery and IT software and hardware procurement.

* Maintain office IT systems including basic IT trouble shooting support, server safety and data management.

* Maintain proper recording of foreign worker data, training record data, staff attendance records, utility consumption monitoring record and IT inventory record.

* Handle and complete OTC enrolment monthly

* Assist with foreign worker management including pass application, issuance and cancellation.

* Purchase respective insurance for foreign workers. Worker’s bank account opening and training arrangement,

* Assist HR Manager in employee issues and government applications

* Register for job-related training for employees and apply for relevant training grants and funding

* Handle all matters pertaining to BCA builder license

* Assist in Company event organisation

* Perform other adhoc tasks as assigned

Customer Engagement and Operational Execution:

• Engage in business development with existing and new customers for marine solutions.
• Regularly liaise with customers for new business inquiries, shipment details, and provide quotations and logistics solutions.
• Obtain customer approval for job and shipment confirmations.
• Execute new shipments in collaboration with network offices, ensuring accurate documentation and manifest generation.
• Contribute to process improvement by registering service failures.
• Oversee the execution of all shipments from initial stages to end delivery or on-board delivery.
• Coordinate with overseas offices for shipment booking, schedules, pre-alerts, tracking, delivery dates, and POD collection.
• Identify and report discrepancies in shipment details.
• Upload accurate PODs in the portal.
• Register jobs in the in-house system with accrued revenue/cost.
• Hand over shipment files to the billing or accounting team for final invoicing and documentation.

Administrative Processes and Customer Care:

• Update additional information in portal comment columns for future reference.
• Inquire with network offices for rates and coordinate various shipment executions.
• Ensure daily operational processes for customer care meet both customer and business needs.
• Maintain timely updates of customer records.
• Resolve issues and complaints from key clients effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Develop business strategies to raise customers’ pool, expand store traffic and optimize profitability
• Meet sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring and providing feedback to sales staff
• Ensure high levels of customers satisfaction through excellent service
• Complete store administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
• Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
• Report on buying trends, customer needs, profits etc
• Propose innovative ideas to increase market share

Requirements:
