Job Description:

To support the Food and Consumer Education teachers in preparation and stocking up food ingredients, maintenance and cleaning of FCE rooms for students’ lessons.

• Keep the Cookery Room clean before and after lessons

• Organise, prepare the ingredients and cooking tools for lessons

• Assist the teachers during lessons in the Cookery Room

• Familiar with the operations of kitchen as well as food and science equipment in the Cookery Room

• Check ingredients ordered against the delivery orders/receipts

• Any other duties as and when assigned by the supervisor

Working Arrangement:

• Location: Ang Mo Kio
• Salary: $1900/Month
• Working Hours: Mon - Fri (7.30am to 3.30pm)

*Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays

Job Requirements:

• At least three (3) years of working experience as a FCE Room Assistant/Cookery Room Assistant/Kitchen Assistant. Preferably in Secondary Schools.

Job Scope:

1. Programme Coordination: Coordinate events and engagements that facilitate meaningful interactions and dialogue between volunteers and participants.

2. Partnership Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with community partners, local organisations, schools, and other stakeholders, recognising them as key collaborators in the development and execution of the community programmes.

3. Operations Management: Work with appointed Event Management Company to manage the complex scheduling requirements for the programme – ensuring the successful assignment of suitable volunteers to event timeslots. To also manage all logistical matters to ensure programme effectiveness.

4. Evaluation and Reporting: Monitor the effectiveness of the programme, gather feedback from stakeholders, and prepare reports to assess the impact and success of the initiative. When required, to be on-site at the programme venue to evaluate performance of facilitators and volunteers, and implement suitable interventions should programme quality fall short.

5. Budget Management: Monitor and track budget utilisation of assigned programmes and prepare reports for proper accountability of funds and resources.

Working Arrangement:

Duration: 1 Year (from Feb 2024 onwards)

Working Hours: 9am to 630pm (Mondays to Fridays)

Salary: $3500-$4000/Month

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in a relevant field.

• Preferably possess at least 1 year of experience in community programming, event management, or cultural outreach, preferably in a museum, garden or exhibition setting, with a demonstrated focus on interactions that cater to a diverse range of audience profile.

• An interest in local history

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficiency in project management and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Some weekend and after-work hours engagements might be required

Job Description

· Discharging duties like handling telephone calls and enquiries/requests on school events and general school-related questions.

· Printing of approved notes, circulars, test/examination papers for teaching staff, office administration, parents support groups. It includes lamination and binding.

· Recording of mails and timely distribution of mails, notices, circulars, etc to school staff.

· Checking the forms cabinet regularly and print copies to top up when the number of forms runs low.

· Monitoring and replenishing the general office consumables, tracking usage, maintaining and inventory and informing the supervisor when the stock runs low.

· Shredding of old documents and ensuring upkeep of the office store.

· Performing any other duties assigned by the Principal, Vice Principal and Administration Manager.
