The role involves identifying any internal operational problems or inefficiencies, and working to enhance all areas related to systems and processes. The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) at the National University of Singapore (NUS), invites applications for the position of Research Assistant/Associate. The successful applicant is expected to commence duties at NUS in January 2024, or as soon as possible thereafter.

This position is connected to a research project titled, “Relocation, Social Networks and Housing Aspirations in Ageing Public Housing”. The research focuses on homeowners’ decision making towards housing relocation. The research team will primarily use ethnographic and interview methods in the research, combining these with a small-scale survey, GPS tracking and GIS visualisations for analyses.

The project team consists of Principal Investigator (PI) Professor Elaine Ho (Department of Geography), Co-PI Associate Professor Vincent Chua (Department of Sociology and Anthropology) and Collaborator A/P Feng Chen-Chieh (Department of Geography).

Scope and responsibilities

The RA will provide administrative support to the Principal Investigator for large grant management and liaise with the project team members or external parties on such matters. There will be opportunities to be involved in empirical research and/or data analyses that are central to the project.

Qualifications

Applicants are expected to hold at least a Second Class Honours (Upper Division) or an equivalent honours degree, or a Master’s degree in the Social Sciences.

What you will do

The primary responsibilities of this role will include the continued development and expansion of the short and long-term pipeline for the Self-Care Restoration portfolio in Asia Pacific (ex. 2) SAP IMG System configuration and customization

3) Programming skills in SAP ABAP/4 programming, ABAP Query, ALV reporting, SAPScripts and SmartForms, preferred

4) Knowledge on Web development and design, .NET and JavaScript

5) Knowledge on HL7 standards, Biztalk, Webservices is preferred.

We are looking for a F&B Manager to join our team!

As a F&B Manager we rely on you to:

• Oversee the everyday operation, management, marketing and overall performance of the outlet.
• Conduct departmental daily briefings to ensure that all pertinent information is well received by team members
• Supervise team members to ensure that all tasks assigned/required in the outlet are carried out on time and according to instruction and departmental standards
• Maintain complete knowledge of all food & beverage services, contents & preparation methods, outlets and hotel services/features
• Ensure that health, safety and security procedures are in place in the outlet
• Attend all briefings, meetings and trainings as assigned by management
• Participate in annual business planning and budgeting
• Work closely with marketing to develop and implement effective marketing and branding strategies
• Actively involved in the selection and recruitment of staff

Requirements:

• Experience in handling VIPs
• Neat and articulate
• Diploma / Degree in food and beverage / hospitality Management
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar capacity in an international class hotel
• Displays initiative
• Commitment to professional values
