Scope of work:

The Pest Control Manager oversees pest management operations. He/She may manage multiple sites or projects concurrently and is able to manage resources effectively. He establishes operational standards and procedures for the organisation and drives the adoption of technologies for enhancing productivity and effectiveness of pest management operations. He is also involved in business development activities, including the development of proposals for getting new contracts, launch of new products and the development of marketing collaterals to grow the organisation's brand.

He is required to balance his time between planning and reviewing progress reports in office, and monitoring of work sites with the aid of technology. He is required to engage with both internal and external stakeholders as part of his work.

He is an efficient planner and operations manager, often required to manage within resource constraints. Key Task / Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the teams in the management of contracts and development of marketing collaterals for business development

The Operations Manager for Environmental Services specializing in Hazardous Waste Management will oversee the operations of hazardous waste disposal, treatment, and recycling services across various job sites. Key Responsibilities:

SOP Development & Implementation:

• Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for hazardous waste management and ensure compliance across all assigned sites.
• Monitor and ensure that all hazardous waste operations follow industry best practices and legal regulations.
  

Client Relationship & Contract Renewal:

• Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with clients to ensure long-term partnerships and successful contract renewals.
• Address client feedback and complaints promptly, ensuring that corrective and preventive actions are taken.
  

Training & Development:

• Oversee on-the-job training (OJT) for staff in hazardous waste handling, equipment use, and safety protocols.
• Ensure staff remain up-to-date with the latest environmental and safety regulations and technologies, including robotics and health policies.
  

Staff Management & Performance:

• Manage staff motivation, performance, and discipline according to organizational, HR, and government manpower policies.
• Lead recruitment efforts, interview applicants, and conduct performance reviews to maintain a competent workforce.
  

Manpower Planning & Deployment:

• Plan and allocate manpower efficiently across job sites to meet client requirements while ensuring cost-effectiveness.
• Oversee staff deployment based on site requirements and contractual commitments, ensuring timely completion of all projects.
  

Budgeting & Cost Management:

• Manage budgets for hazardous waste operations, ensuring costs remain within defined limits.
• Optimize resources to maintain profitability while ensuring quality service delivery.
  

Workplace Safety & Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with all Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) regulations and hazardous waste management standards across all assigned sites.
• Maintain up-to-date records of safety meetings, staff inductions, and any required documentation to meet regulatory requirements.
  

Operational Efficiency & Improvement:

• Continuously review operational processes to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, service delivery, and compliance.
• Propose and implement enhancements in work procedures, safety measures, and client satisfaction strategies.
  

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in hazardous waste management operations.
• Strong management, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Proven experience in decision-making, compliance management, and resource optimization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and staff.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
• Bilingual in English and a second language (preferred).
• Proficiency in computer software, administration, and presentation tools.
• Knowledge of hazardous waste regulations and best practices.
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Ensure the quality of all construction work performed on site are in accordance with the company's QAQC requirement.
• Visit project sites, arrange and conduct QAQC inspections on mainly Structural Works and Architectural Works.
• Assist project teams in the preparation of project specific CONQUAS/Quality Management assessment by BCA with specific contract requirements.
• Ensure workmanship, procedures and method statements are in accordance to specified standards.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure works are in compliance with method statements & proper sequence of work and in accordance to BCA’s good industry practice.
