Monitors and controls the safe and cost efficient technical operation of all assigned vessels using the available resources, within the defined parameters of cost, commercial viability and operational excellence in line with Owners expectations. Ensure environmental compliance policies are upheld.

Ship technical support

• Understands the contractual agreements with customers to be able to deliver the same with regards to the ship management services for each assigned vessel, in a safe and cost efficient manner.

• Monitors the effective operation of the equipment and machineries of the assigned vessels, identifying potential discrepancies from operational standards and proposes and/or implements solutions that will enhance the efficiency, performance and safety of the vessels.

• Participates in the development of the maintenance and repairs plan for the assigned vessels and monitors its accurate execution in order to identify compliance of operations according to time schedule, quality of deliverables and budget.

• Projects the requirements in maintenance and repairs activities, spare parts and technical training of the assigned vessels in order to provide valuable information for the development of the budget and maintenance plan of the vessels. Upon approval, follows-up its accurate execution, identifying, reporting and providing solutions in potential discrepancies.

• Monitors all vessels trading certificates to ensure compliance with existing maritime legislation, safety regulations and operational standard requirements of all regulatory bodies.

• Oversees and monitors the overall technical operation of the assigned vessels, ensures the timely and accurate completion of dry-docking on budget and of other relevant shipboard maintenance and repair activities, in order to support the operational effectiveness of vessels and increase customer’s satisfaction and commitment.

Execution of technical inspections

• Manages all vessel visits, audits and inspections effectively right from planning

Education and Qualifications:

• B.S. degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture or equivalent, or

• Chief Engineer’s qualification.

Work Experience:

• 5 years of sailing experience as Senior Officer, or

• 5 years of shore experience as a technical superintendent with a ship management/owning company, or

• 5 year of combined experience of the above positions.

This role will be part of the MCAPS Asia President Office, living and breathing Customer Centricity, constantly thinking of ways to open all Rooms of The House and raising the bar to deliver the highest impact in Asia.

The MCAPS Asia President office is looking for a customer centric and results driven individual to partner with our Areas to deliver the most impactful Customer and Partner Executive engagement. Reporting to the Chief of Staff (CoS) of the Asia President, this role will primarily plan and execute Customer & Partner executive engagements and programs, working across with Leaders’ CoS and various functions in Asia Areas, Countries and Corporate.

You would have ideally worked with Senior Sales Leaders in a sales and results driven environment, with acute understanding and ability to evaluate Customers’ and internal requests, enabling you to manage and prioritize in the most efficient and diplomatic manner.

Responsibilities

1. Partner with Area Teams to formulate the Executive engagement strategy and framework for Customer accounts and Partners that are sponsored by the Asia President. Operationalize the plan to execute regular internal and external governance with the Customer/Partner with clear go-forward plan and deliverables. Program manage key engagement such as EBC, external events, critical escalations with the Sales teams and maintain 360 view of the account with regular internal updates (eg newsletter).
2. Attend Customer/Partner meetings with the Asia President where possible, and work with the Sales Team to orchestrate internally, connecting with cross functional teams to follow through on Customer requests.
3. Be the trusted go-to partner of the assigned Area(s), connecting regularly to understand their strategy, core priorities and deliverables. Solicit feedback from the Area(s) to strive for continuous improvement and efficiency both ways.
4. Plan and execute Country visits, optimizing all aspects of the engagements and meetings with Customers, Partners, Employees (eg Townhall, Roundtables), Events and PR/Media/Analyst briefings. Partnership with the Area, plan the end to end of the visit with timely preparation and briefing with the Asia President, following through with post meeting notes to the Customers and Partners.
5. Represent the Asia President in planning and executing Corp/GES led CxO events (eg CEO Summit), partnering and managing invites and exceptions with the Area teams.
6. Formulate a systematic process for Areas/Countries to request for Asia President and Corporate Executives engagement with Asia Customers. Create an overview of these requests along with visits to Asia by Corp Executives.
7. Connect with functional teams, not limited to Solution GBB/Industry/ECA/CO&I to form a holistic view and understanding of the business. Partner with these teams and leverage a wide spectrum of expertise and capabilities to orchestrate internally, enabling the greatest impact with the Customer through the One Microsoft engagement.
8. Institutionalize regular learning sessions within the Asia President Office, extending to the Asia Core LT CoS/BM/BPM to explore new ways of operationalizing our core priorities and deliverables with AI and Copilot.

Qualifications

1. 10+ years' experience in Operations, Program Management, Strategy and Analysis in a Sales Environment
2. BA/BS or equivalent work experience. MBA preferred
3. Executive maturity, organizational agility and strong impact and influence competencies. Ability to manage ambiguity and manage complexities.
4. Self-motivated and directed, requiring minimal supervision.
5. Ability to work effectively across groups (business and functions) in a fast-paced work environment.
6. Strong project management skills: ability to drive multiple projects forward, effectively leveraging all resources to drive results.
7. Effective at influencing without authority and driving work through others.
8. Creativity in solving problems and generating innovative solutions

Job Description

• Actively source and book catering business from various leads.
• Liaise with clients to understand their event requirements and ensure their expectations are met or exceeded.
• Coordinate between sales and catering teams to optimize function space usage and maximize revenue.
• Conduct site visits and property tours for potential meeting planners and wedding couples.
• Manage event logistics, including room setup, AV equipment, and food & beverage arrangements, in coordination with all operational departments.
• Handle last-minute changes or challenges professionally to ensure client satisfaction.
• Oversee post-event follow-up, including gathering client feedback and processing payments.

Job Requirement

• At least 3 years of experience in Catering and Events, focusing on Hotel Events Management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Must be available to work occasional weekends for events.
