​Our client is a global leader in gateway services, who is seeking to recruit a Technical Officer (Location: East). This position is based in Singapore.

Technical Officer (Location: East)

Responsibilities:

• Be part of Technical team responsible for maintaining and ensuring the serviceability of all systems and equipment

• Be technically proficient in all aspects of maintaining, repairing and troubleshooting the full range of systems and equipment (e.g. warehouse systems, material handling and automation systems, refrigeration systems, kitchen equipment, packaging and inspection machines, washing machines, waste management systems, etc.) and other technical related knowledge

• Manage, perform and ensure all maintenance activities and repair works are timely follow- through according to the assignment, maintenance schedule, procedures, checklists, manufacturer recommendation and completed within the timeframe

• Manage, perform and ensure all technical purchase requisition of spare parts, contracts and services are in accordance to the Company policies and follow-through to support the maintenance activities

• Manage, communicate and work professionally with all stakeholders to minimize systems and equipment downtime

• Be proactive in resolving technical faults, contributing initiatives and continuous improvements

• Always observe and follow all Safe Work Procedures and Food Safety requirements

• Always ensure Safe Work environment by housekeeping of all work areas and report any safety hazards immediately

• Perform and support other relevant duties and projects assignments if required

• Requirements:

• Computer-literate and competent in using Microsoft office/outlook, SAP application and IT devices

• Competent in using industrial workshop equipment and welding tools

• Competent in reading technical drawings, documentation

Requirements:

• Physically fit with ability to carry heavy loads and work-at-height

• A motivated team player with strong qualities to lead and work in a challenging environment with tight timeline

• Able and willing to work in either office hours or rotating shifts, weekends and overtime if required

Others:

• Work Week & Shift: 6 days, rotating shift

• Staff transport will be provided for candidates working beyond midnight.

Job Responsibilities

1. Food Safety Management:Develop and implement food safety systems, including HACCP.
   Enforce hygiene and safety protocols in compliance with SFA, MUIS, MOM, and other regulations.
   
2. Inspections and Risk Assessment:Conduct regular inspections of food preparation areas onsite and offsite.
   Identify and assess food safety risks in handling, preparation, and storage.
   Implement corrective actions, training, and preventive measures to enhance safety standards.
   
3. Supplier Compliance:Audit suppliers regularly to ensure adherence to food safety and quality standards.
   
4. Quality Assurance:Update the Quality Management System (QMS) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to meet regulatory and industry standards.
   Maintain accurate and comprehensive records in compliance with policies.
   
5. Regulatory Compliance:Serve as the primary liaison for audits and inspections by SFA, MUIS, HACCP, and ISO.
   Ensure documentation and records meet hygiene and safety requirements.
   
6. Additional Responsibilities:Support any other assigned tasks as needed.
   

Job Requirements

1. Certifications and Qualifications:SFA Food Hygiene Officer certifications and FSMS certification.
   NITEC Certificate or equivalent in Food Science or a related field specializing in food safety.
   
2. Experience:At least 2 years in Quality Assurance or Food Safety within the F&B or catering industry.
   Familiarity with Singapore’s food safety regulations, including HACCP, ISO, and SFA guidelines.
   
3. Skills and Competencies:Detail-oriented with strong compliance skills in food safety.
   Effective communication skills to train and guide team members.
