Position: Project Engineer (Civil and Structural)

Responsibilities:

· To assist the Project Manager on project site work by focusing mainly on the aspects of construction, safety quality management, and project coordination of projects and maintenance works and to ensure smooth work progression and completion within target time and budget.

· Prepare method statements, design plans, and specifications.

· Liaise with the stakeholders (e.g. clients, authorities, consultants) on permits, drawings, and design matters.

· Develop projected milestone and operational plans for different phases of the project which includes scheduling, monitoring and reviewing of the work of others.

· Determine project requirements and estimate resources such as manpower, materials and equipment.

· Ensure that site works are executed accordingly based on approved detailed drawings, interpreted plans, and requirements of relevant authorities.

· Ensure project meets dateline/schedule, safety & quality standards of client’s requirements. Support contract administration and construction inspection by reviewing final plans, specifications, special conditions, and agreements.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil and Structural).

Key responsibilities:

• Provide IT support operation on daily basis, include below activities:

- IT asset management (include the hardware and software) – manage all company IT asset with proper traceability record;

- Support HR on all employee on-board/off-board process including IT training;

- Provide all IT system setup and admin work; (file control, VPN setup and special software admin work support);

- IT Level 1 helpdesk support to all company staff include remote user from worldwide, it could be PC issue, office printer, phone system or network related issues;

• System maintenance work on regular basis, include below activities:

- All System backup (File server backup, NAS storage backup, offline backup activity), verify all system backup files are working properly;

- Coordinate department head on storage Clean up include File server, SharePoint and NetApp;

- Monitor Server room temperature and humidity, and make sure all server related equipment (E.g.: UPS) are working under good condition;

- Pulse check all on server, router and firewall log and flag out all abnormal activities immediately;

- Regular update antivirus related tools and window related system patches.

• IT governance and direction:

- Maintain all IT related record (contract, agreement, software authorization, etc.) and regularly updates or renew on time;

- Keep updating and release new IT P&P (Policy & Procedure), BCP(Business Continuity Plan) and DRP(Disaster Recovery Plan);

- Working with finance and country IT support on IT budgeting yearly basis and review it quarterly;

- Assist external or internal auditor on IT compliance or ISO related audit;

- Evaluate vendor proposal and provide justification to management.

• IT related projects management (Ad Hoc or on-going) and provide weekly basis updates to management):

- IT project plan, budgeting and proposal;

- IT project deployment after project approved;

- IT project verification and provide necessary training to end user;

- IT project sign off and documentation.

ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

In anticipation of future bids and projects in Defence and Public Security sectors, Engineering Department requires system engineers who has a track record of building, deploying and maintaining the IT infrastructure in an enterprise environment. The System Engineer is to assist with IT infrastructure solutions according to project requirements and drive transformation for internal/external customers by adopting established platforms. Upon confirmation of projects, the candidate is expected to take on an active role in the definition, procurement, deployment and operations of the necessary IT infrastructure covering but not limited to server hardware, virtualisation middleware, operating system and backup solution etc. Where necessary, the candidate may be tasked to support data networking initiatives, cybersecurity implementations and other COTS deployment depending on the candidate’s technical background and interests. KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As an IT Infrastructure System Engineer, you are accountable for:

· Assist project or team leads in evaluating and recommending the appropriate IT infrastructure products (commercial or open source) that will meet project or customer requirements

· Take charge or support the deployment of said products, including integration and testing activities at the System-as-a-whole level

· Work with engineers from other disciplines (e.g. software, cybersecurity, integration) in the delivery of turn-key systems or proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives
