Key Responsibilities

• Assisting Senior Project Engineer and Construction Manager with daily site activities.
• Monitoring/reporting site progress (direct employees and subcontract works).
• Formulation of procedures for construction activities.
• Plan the works and develop look-a-head programmes.
• Liaise with the design coordination team to resolve technical discrepancies including preparing and submitting technical queries and meeting with design consultants as required.
• Manage the schedule of shop drawings and monitor the output of drafters.
• Plan the equipment and material requirements and raise purchase requisitions as required.
• Mentor and manage Site Engineers assigned to your zone/works areas.
• Review the authority approvals required ahead of the works and ensure submissions are made such that the clearances can be achieved before works start.

What You’ll Need to Succeed​

• 8+ years of experience developing performance-critical applications in a production environment using Scala, Java, Kotlin, C#, Go or relevant modern programming languages.​

• Assist the project manager with on and off site meeting pertaining to the technical issues
• Responsible for submission of Architectural samples, shops drawing and other related documents to the consultants or authorities
• Coordinate and monitor work progress at site including periodical site inspection and attending meetings during course of construction of project
• Proven problem solving and achievements work progress according to the work schedule
• Site supervision and able to coordinate well with sub-contractors, RE and RTO

Requirements:

• Candidate must at least a Post Graduate Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Min 5 years relevant experience in the related field for this position
• Be able to work independently with minimum guidance

As part of a Global Manufacturing Facility in Singapore, the Senior Quality Engineer will be a key member of the Laser department to drive quality and reliability improvements for laser related products and systems.

Responsibilities:
• Drive Quality and Reliability improvements for laser related systems and products
• Establish and develop Quality Control systems and process for laser/optomechanical related components
• Key Quality person for the laser production team to oversee failure analysis, corrective and preventative actions etc.
• Provide quality engineering support for project and manufacturing teams
• Drive continuous improvements working closely with suppliers to ensure compliance
• Mentor quality engineers to manage Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma projects

Requirements
• 7-12+ years experience in manufacturing environment
• Msut come from an optics background, familiar with laser/optical/optomechanical components or products
• Good knowledge in quality systems and regulatory standards; 8D, RCA, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Process Validations etc.

In Agoda’s Back End Engineering department, we build the scalable, fault-tolerant systems and APIs that host our core business logic. Our systems cover all major areas of our business: inventory and pricing, product information, customer data, communications, partner data, booking systems, payments, FinTech and more. These mission-critical systems change frequently with dozens of releases per day, so we must employ state-of-the-art CI/CD and testing techniques in order to make sure everything works without any downtime. We also ensure that our systems are self-healing, responding gracefully to extreme loads or unexpected input. You might call yourself “full stack” or “back end” or you might consider yourself an authority in a certain field, but you have a keen interest in how the different systems work together.

We’d love to hear from you if you are skilled in any of the technologies we work with (note – we are not looking for you to have them all). We are interested in speaking to persons of any level from individuals just starting their IT careers to experts in their field, although this particular position is better suitable to veteran engineers, with expertise in certain technologies, and especially those that had lead projects, initiatives and/or teams.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• 5+ years’ experience under your belt developing performance-critical applications that run in a production environment using Scala, Java or C#.
• Experience in leading projects, initiatives and/or teams, with full ownership of the systems involved
• Data platforms like SQL, Cassandra or Hadoop. You understand that different applications have different data requirements
• Good understanding of algorithms and data structures
• Strong coding ability
• You are passionate about the craft of software development and constantly work to improve your knowledge and skills
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills

It’s Great If You Have

• Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies
• Experience building large-scale distributed products
• Core engineering infrastructure tools like Git for source control, TeamCity for Continuous Integration and Puppet for deployment
• Hands-on experience working with technology like queueing systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, MSMQ), Spark, Hadoop, NoSQL (Cassandra, MongoDB), Play framework, Akka library

Requirements:

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of relevant working experience
• Proficient in CAD software for electrical and schematic design, as well as PC hardware, Windows OS, and software.
• Knowledge in PCB/PCBA design, fabrication, and testing processes is an added advantage.
