Product Development and Brand Executive

Roles & Responsibilities

This role will be responsible for providing the Head of Branding and Marketing the quarterly plan and launch proposal and key product ideas for NPD and drive the strategic objectives on category review. You will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders all markets in developing and implementing group NPD strategies and standards to ensure beverages meets current Revenue objectives and achieve sustainable product life cycle management.

Strategic Development

· Develop strategy and plans to drive product development within Singapore, whether expanding existing product line or extension into larger sub-lines where necessary.

· Recommend detailed marketing strategy and ideas that are in line with overall category goals.

· Spearhead and is the key driver in providing new trends and ideas for product development, up to and including sourcing and doing primary product trials for these ideas.

· Partner the internal sales team to achieve internal revenue targets and expansion plans.

· Cross function with internal operations, sales and supply chain to ensure product continuity and drive brand strategy initiatives.

Market Intelligence and Insight

· Active involvement in analysing key information about consumer, industry, stakeholders and competitive landscape to find white space for category expansion.

· Leverage global Insights and other data sources to identify high growth category opportunities.

· Analyse market data and distil implications into actionable insights.

· Stay abreast of competitor activity within focused categories.

Other Supporting Role

· Support the efficient execution of commercial project and being equally comfortable with developing business cases to get the project up and running.

· Supports Head, Group Product Development and Management, in preparation of reports and Board presentation.

Key Deliverables:

1) Weekly updates on current new projects that you are exploring and working on in a report format with timelines and progress bar updates

2) Monthly updates on revenue, and target objectives. The monthly update should include current efforts to increase brand exposure and current achievements including photos and results such as No. of Pax served and exposed, concrete feedback and comments regarding b.yond beer.

3) Quarterly brand Launch plans and NPD plans including timelines for key deliverables for each launch.

4) Active participation in conversation regarding new ideas and products.

Job Description

• Ensure proper maintenance of the kitchen within each outlet

• Review sales and food costs daily to monitor actual financial results and take corrective action as necessary to ensure that financial goals are met
• Plan, direct and coordinate future outlet openings
• Manage, supervise and groom a team of chief chef, section head and kitchen staff to ensure maximum utilization of manpower allocated
• Actively involved in hiring process by identifying and selecting candidates for kitchen positions
• Actively involved in staff counselling and propose to management on course of disciplinary action, including but not limited to, termination of employment
• Drive culinary excellence by being a champion for food quality and consistency
• Develop standard recipes and SOPs for food preparation and presentation
• Actively involved in menu development and establishing menu prices
• Understand current and emerging culinary trends as well as consumer needs and behaviors
• Ensure that all activities conform to HACCP & 5S guidelines
• Any other jobs or duties assigned by the Director of Kitchen Operations from time to time

Job Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant working experience as an Executive Chef
• Able to interact with English and Chinese speaking colleagues effectively
• Knowledge of HACCP, health and safety standards would be an advantage
• Strong management, leadership skills and interpersonal skill
• Must be dedicated and committed

BRAND/MARKETING MANAGER

Main responsibilities:

Reporting to the Marketing Director, the Brand/Marketing Manager is responsible for a group of brands.

He or she makes the link between the international brand principals and the local brand team based in Bangladesh.

Duties and responsibilities

Brand management .

· Build and execute the yearly brand marketing plans

· Design presentations and marketing reports to share with the brands

· Prepare pitch book for new potential brands (marketing section of the business plan)

Operational marketing

· Build and implement the 360 launch plans for new brands/product launches

· Oversee the execution of all the marketing activities (ABT and BTL) and ensure the local team has the necessary brand assets to execute on time, with high standards and in line with the guidelines

· Coordinate and follow up the training activities with the training team

· Analyse the performance of the marketing activities and define appropriate KPI

Marketing research

· Conduct some ad-hoc marketing analysis

· Search for market information and data in Bangladesh

· Analyse consumers trends and expectations according to different categories and

needs (beauty/F&B/toys, sport, home...) and identify some gasps for new brand opportunity

Corporate Training and marketing

· Bring some support to the training team to design some modules for the corporate training program

· Participate in writing some content for the revamping of the BestinBrands website

Requirements

· Minimum bachelor’s degree in marketing or business

· At least 3 years of experience in brand management

· Previous experience in the beauty/luxury/FMCG industries is an advantage

Position Summary:

• Drive sales and profitability of the Brand and the stores for assigned area(s) and/or brands and manage sales, marketing and operations functions. You will be responsible for total brand management including P&L and to achieve brand business goals.

• Reports and statistic compilations in relation to brand performance and share product performance and insight with HOD.
• Managing and maintaining a positive working relationship with the brand principal

Marketing

• Plan, direct and implement appropriate localised marketing activities/events/promotions for positive brand building and in driving sales.
• Partner with Brand principal/HOD to develop seasonal marketing and social media strategies.
• Provide insights to Valiram and the Brand, to better understand market trends and dynamics.
• Support the CRM and increase existing base of VIP customers.

Others

• Partner with Merchandising to place appropriate orders, optimise inventory and oversee in inventory integrity.
• Partner with Visual Merchandising in upholding of VM standard to ensure store environment is enticing, effective and in line with Brand Guidelines.
• To uphold and improve staff morale leading to a positive and dynamic working attitude and environment.
• Support store to maintain productivity and retail operational standards in areas of discipline, work performance and sales.
• In touch with what is happening in the store through periodic store visits.
• Support and assist in projects/tasks related to the brand as required/instructed by HOD/management.

Responsibilities:
• Work closely with the Brand manager/principal on brand and marketing strategies
• Collate and analyze monthly reports for the brand manager & brand principal
• Develop and analyse trade promotional plans / pricing strategies with respective channel manager(s)
• Facilitate, execute and review the effectiveness of various promotions (including set-up for sampling booths / road shows etc)
• Manage & control the brand’s budget
• Plan for stock inventory levels
• Manage & create content for the brand's social media account
• Work closely with in-house designers to design & source for marketing collateral, premiums
• Conduct competitor analysis and market visit/research to keep abreast with industry trends
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (especially during sales launch/ promotion period)
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Requirements:
• Minimum 1.5 to 2 years' experience in Brand/ Product management in FMCG industry
• Diploma in Business Management / Marketing
• Possess experience working with Modern trade, Convenience stores and General trade
• Strong creative and analytical skills, with the ability to develop and execute effective brand strategies
• Individuals with design skills &/or digital marketing knowledge will be advantageous
• Proficient in MS Office
• Disciplined and self-motivated
