Daily Operations

Crewing

• Make performance evaluations of Masters/ Chief Engineers assigned to the vessel under supervision.

• Provide input to the Manning Department on recruitment of Senior Officers for the assigned vessels.

Dry Docking & Repairs

• Plan, manage, monitor and execute vessels repairs, dry dockings and conversions within agreed budgets.

• Arrange and follow up repairs and services.

• Coordinate with the assigned vessels and prepare the dry-docking specification in conjunction with Docking Superintendent, Fleet Services. Submit the specification to yards for quotations, evaluate the received quotations and present them to the Fleet Group Manager and/or Chief Operating Officer for review.

• Attend the dry-docking, discuss shipyard invoicing before presenting same to the Fleet Group Manager and/or Chief Operating Officer for approval.

Job Responsibilities

1. • Minimum 6 years experience in similar roles either in practice or in industry
• An excellent understanding of UK AML regulations and the knowledge and understanding of how to file a Suspicious Activity Report (SAR)
• Expertise in assessing money-laundering risk
• Track record of promoting risk management, compliance and good corporate governance
• Managerial experience preferable
• Track record of delivery results both in routine and project mode, and managing priorities to meet deadlines

Role Objective:

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with at least 4 years of HR experience

Client Relationship

Managerial Duties

• Guiding and mentoring junior and senior accountants
• Managing team to meet client deadlines

Accounting Services

• Consolidation of subsidiaries / application of equity method for associate companies
• Reviewing/ Maintaining full set of Accounts
• Reviewing/ Preparation of custom reporting packages based on client requirements
• Reviewing/ Preparation of statutory reports (Financial Statements and Notes to the accounts) in accordance with SFRS/IFRS
• Collaborate with auditors to ensure financial compliance and smooth operations
• Completion/review of XBRL for corporate secretarial team to file
• Cash management and payment review/ processing
• GST preparation/review and filing
• Other ad hoc assignments

Payroll Services

• Review / Preparation of clients’ payroll (including calculation of OT, allowances etc.)
• Payroll / CPF disbursement
• Review /Preparation of year-end IR8A forms
• Other payroll related assignments

Requirements:

• Degree in Accountancy
• Candidates with professional qualification such as ACCA/CA/CPA etc would be an added advantage
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and at least 2 years of supervisory role experience
• Candidates who have prior working experience in professional accounting firms would be an added advantage
• Good knowledge and understanding of Singapore requirements on accounting, GST and payroll
• Proficient in accounting software, Microsoft Office such as excel, etc.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
