The job holder is responsible for supporting the Group Head of Financial Crime in providing Subject Matter Expert (SME) support for all financial crime subjects (ABC, AML, Fraud and Economic Sanctions) to the group’s entities around the world. YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Strategy and Planning:

• Act as a business partner providing support and advice to regional and local management teams to deliver the Group’s strategy and minimum standards for sanctions and financial crime, as set out in the Group’s principles for business.
• Support the Group Head of Financial Crime in preparing materials for divisional and Group level governance, including the annual financial crime plan and quarterly updates against planned activities.

3.Policy, Process and Procedures:

• Act as business partner to regional and local management delivering and advising on Groupwide initiatives
• Assist in collating MI on the design and delivery of Groupwide initiatives to report progress to the Group’s risk committee
• Support the preparation and annual review cycle of Groupwide policies related to Financial Crime
• Perform second line led assessments of financial crime arrangements at a local and regional level, including preparing recommendations for improvement where appropriate
• Assist local management in addressing financial crime related second line of defence or third line of defence findings
• Support internal record-keeping and filing internal and external reports where appropriate/necessary
• Receive and evaluate internal reports of suspicious transactions or financial crime related alerts and, where necessary, to make the required internal notifications to senior management and make external reports to the National Crime Agency (NCA) or other relevant bodies

4.Environment, Customer Focus and Relationships:

• Build and maintain close links with peers, key internal and external stakeholders, working with the business and other functions to share information, identify risks and deliver business growth
• Liaise with external auditors as required
• Solicit advice and guidance, when appropriate, from the Board or external sources (e.g. legal advice)
• Share information that could be beneficial to Local Entities, Regions or Group

5.Technical:

• Manage assigned projects and contribute to other projects as required
• Respond appropriately to urgent issues as they arise
• Support the Group head of Financial Crime in identifying trends and Group requirements for financial crime advice and guidance
• Review internal controls and ensure they are adequate, implementing improvements as required
• Contribute to action plans and defining controls for identified risks and bring the business on board to any changes being implemented
• Support in preparing reports to the Audit and Board/Exec Committees, collating information, interpreting findings and providing detailed analysis where necessary
• Ensure transactional activity and corporate actions are processed in a timely and accurate manner
• Management, delivery and oversight of the group’s financial crime training for management and staff in order to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including bespoke training for higher risk areas/countries
• Undertake and regularly refresh a group wide risk assessment on financial crime
• The production, distribution, assessment, review of (and thereafter oversight that the group entities are acting on accordance with) policies in relation to Financial crime to ensure that the groups systems and controls are in full compliance with regulatory requirements

• Make performance evaluations of Masters/ Chief Engineers assigned to the vessel under supervision.
• Provide input to the Manning Department on recruitment of Senior Officers for the assigned vessels.

Dry Docking & Repairs

• Plan, manage, monitor and execute vessels repairs, dry dockings and conversions within agreed budgets.
• Arrange and follow up repairs and services.
• Coordinate with the assigned vessels and prepare the dry-docking specification in conjunction with Docking Superintendent, Fleet Services. Submit the specification to yards for quotations, evaluate the received quotations and present them to the Fleet Group Manager and/or Chief Operating Officer for review.
• Attend the dry-docking, discuss shipyard invoicing before presenting same to the Fleet Group Manager and/or Chief Operating Officer for approval.
• Prepare docking report.

As a Senior Business Development Manager, you apply your extensive expertise in ICT&S solution sales, exceptional relationship building and people leadership skills to deliver against the following responsibilities:

• Drive and define the development of strong account plans designed to exceed growth targets, ensuring strong team coverage across all accounts in order to deliver sales and revenue growth across the portfolio.
• Take personal accountability and strong ownership for generating and nurturing a short- and long-term opportunity pipeline with strong sales and revenue conversion rates, ensuring accurate forecasting of sales, gross margin and revenue targets.
• Empower and support extended team members to execute against key metrics (NPS, strategic and incremental sales, revenue) by coaching and developing a highly skilled and energised account team, through actively sharing lessons learned and global best practices in customer’s industries.
• Apply deep technical and professional expertise in ICT&S solutions, synthesising latest market research and technology trends into key insights that articulate business implications for both team members and client stakeholders.
• Authentically engage with and effectively influence a complex, diverse, multi-stakeholder landscape comprising senior customer relationships (including C-Suite & Board level, and sophisticated functional specialists) to proactively build strong relationships, deeply understand business direction and provide strategic technology thought leadership leading to sales opportunities.
• Significantly contribute to the development of solution proposals for strategic value customers, championing the framework for co-creation of strategic technology plans by proactively engaging with Telstra’s business and partner ecosystem (including vendors) in order to deliver innovative solutions and concepts to the market.

About you

Essential Requirements:

• Ability to leverage Telstra’s Go-to-Market (GTM) assets & motions to drive transformational customer conversations aligned to customers’ priorities.
• Demonstrated 7-15 years sales experience in the Information and Communication Technologies industry selling to MNCs, Enterprise
• Acted as a trusted sales professional, driving and closing Cloud/Data/AI/Business Application/Network opportunities, developing and winning market-making opportunities
• Ability to leverage personal professional network and partners to drive the business across South Asia
• Extensive experience in Strategic Account Management and managing Sales Relationships
• Proven track record in end-to-end Sales Management with strong experience in building and delivering on sales pipeline
• Background and working experience from System Integrator selling direct to end-user are welcome to apply
• A good understanding of commercial principles, contract negotiations, and developing sales solutions
