BRAND/MARKETING MANAGER

Main responsibilities:

Reporting to the Marketing Director, the Brand/Marketing Manager is responsible for a group of brands.

He or she makes the link between the international brand principals and the local brand team based in Bangladesh.

Duties and responsibilities

Brand management .

· Build and execute the yearly brand marketing plans

· Design presentations and marketing reports to share with the brands

· Prepare pitch book for new potential brands (marketing section of the business plan)

Operational marketing

· Build and implement the 360 launch plans for new brands/product launches

· Oversee the execution of all the marketing activities (ABT and BTL) and ensure the local team has the necessary brand assets to execute on time, with high standards and in line with the guidelines

· Coordinate and follow up the training activities with the training team

· Analyse the performance of the marketing activities and define appropriate KPI

Marketing research

· Conduct some ad-hoc marketing analysis

· Search for market information and data in Bangladesh

· Analyse consumers trends and expectations according to different categories and

needs (beauty/F&B/toys, sport, home...) and identify some gasps for new brand opportunity

Corporate Training and marketing

· Bring some support to the training team to design some modules for the corporate training program

· Participate in writing some content for the revamping of the BestinBrands website

Requirements

· Minimum bachelor’s degree in marketing or business

· At least 3 years of experience in brand management

· Previous experience in the beauty/luxury/FMCG industries is an advantage

Key Responsibilities:

SALES MANAGEMENT

· To achieve and exceed both hard and soft targets as set out by the Company as well as its Suppliers and Brand Owners.

· To network, develop and firmly establish the various channels necessary to reach targeted segments

BRAND MANAGEMENT

· To establish a brand strategy for the overall branding of the Company’s brands, ensuring healthy sales performance of each brand that will eventually achieve the Company’s sales target and objectives whilst supporting positive business growth.

· To manage marketing communication, communicating brand’s messaging and value propositions to customers and media

· To plan and execute public relations activities to get media write-ups on Company’s brands and products.

· To create a strong brand image and to increase the product’s perceived value to the customer and thereby increase brand equity.

· Conduct market research and analysis required for decision support relating to target markets and competitive positioning.

· Ensure execution of marketing programs is according to the guiding principles of the brand strategy.

MARKETING MANAGEMENT

· Planning of marketing calendar and media plan and responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies and organise events and functions to achieve Company’s sales targets.

· Identify potential third party for synergistic tie-ups that would enhance brand positioning of the Company.

· Prepare and execute all marketing proposals and post-event evaluation, to evaluate effectiveness of activities.

· To create premiums to help increase demand for Company’s brand and/or products.

· Develop CRM initiatives for key launches and explore opportunities to reach out to new customers through the use of third-party databases.

· Enhance service offering through regular competitive analysis, market intelligence, market research, value-positioning and customer feedback.

· To plan and coordinate with Graphic Designer to produce communication collaterals on Company’s brand and products such as brochures, POP, display merchandising.

· Prepare sell-in letters for promotional activities and review all purchase orders of module stock propose.

· Provide statistical data input for annual store presentation kit and budgeting process.

· Liaising with media with regards to Advertisement and Publications issues

· Monitoring and compiling monthly competitor activities.

COST MANAGEMENT

· Provide monthly/quarterly/yearly reporting to Principals.

· Analysis of reports and variances and preparation of annual sales budget and forecasts.

· Administer, review and control brand’s A&P expenses including monitoring its Net Operating Profit.

· Managing inventory to minimize excess and obsolescence risks.

· Develop promotional master plan and ensure timely procurement of promotional reserves.

· Responsible for planning and logistics of gifts, samples, and testers to retail stores accordingly to promotional usage.

FORECASTING & PRICING

· To work closely with Regional Brand Manager and Sales/Marketing Manager to forecast inventory needs based on sales trends and marketing programs.

· Provide comparative sell-thru study for new product forecasting.

· Recommend and suggest pricing of new products and analyse competitor’s pricing and action as well as planning for counter action where necessary.

PROMOTERS MANAGEMENT

· To oversee the management done by Sales Personnel

· To ensure proper management of Promoter’s duty and shift roster.

· To ensure a consistently high standard & image projected by the Promoters at all times.

TRAINING

· To oversee the management done by Sales Personnel.

· To ensure proper conduct and organize monthly product knowledge and soft skills training for all promoters.

· To develop a training curriculum to ensure operational readiness.

· To ensure all training materials and quality training programs using different methodologies and environments are in place to ensure successful transfer of the necessary skills and knowledge and meet learning objectives.

· To package best practices in learning programs.

· To analyse the effectiveness of training through feedback and evaluation from call monitoring, thereafter determine appropriate actions are taken to ensure standards are kept.

· To ensure clear and consistent communication on all matters pertaining to training and operational matters.

· Responsible for assessing and developing promoter’s capabilities to meet the Company’s sales goals and objectives.

OTHERS

· To undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as may be required of the role and as and when necessary in order to achieve the Company’s objectives.

· Numerically savvy, creative, able to spot trends and innovations with sound business acumen

Requirements:

· Degree/Diploma in Business Administration (specializing in Marketing, Business Development or equivalent), or Degree/Diploma in Marketing and have at least 2 years of proven track record in brand marketing.

· The ideal candidate should come from the beauty sector handling famous international brands. He/she must be self-motivated; energetic; independent with good interpersonal and communication skills; results-oriented; meticulous with strong analytical skills; responsible; organizational; and lastly, savvy at multi-tasking and possesses good follow-through skillsets.

· Strong leadership and presentation skills with good knowledge of Microsoft Office software with respect to preparation of financial projection, budgeting, presentation slides and marketing collaterals.

• Analyze sales performance data across channels, offering actionable insights for continuous improvement.
• Identify and explore new sales channels and distribution opportunities to increase market share.

Content Creation and Management:

• Lead content creation for websites, social media platforms and etc to ensure alignment with sales strategies for each channel.
• Manage social media content calendars, ensuring consistent engagement and driving sales across multiple platforms.
• Coordinate photo/video shoots for brand campaigns, product launches, and digital marketing content.

Digital Marketing

• Oversee the company’s digital presence, ensuring alignment with sales objectives across various platforms.
• Implement SEO and SEM strategies to drive traffic and improve visibility across online sales channels.
• Track and report on KPIs for digital marketing, focusing on sales performance across various platforms.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in brand management and digital marketing, preferably within the FMCG industry.
• Strong understanding of digital marketing tools (Google Analytics, social media platforms, email marketing software).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling narratives for various platforms.
• Project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple campaigns across different sales channels.
