The main objective of the department is to assist the CRO and Assistant CRO in the management of MC Branch offices and subsidiaries in the Asia-Oceania region, of its related activities and support our senior executives in our head office in Tokyo by providing geopolitical intelligence, as well as supporting our various business groups in developing new businesses and providing relevant industry insights.
In doing so, you will collaborate deeply with our colleagues in our head office in Tokyo, as well as our branch offices and subsidiaries in the Asia-Oceania region. Building and developing networks with the local counterparts and government authorities are also required. Therefore, you are expected to contribute by having an intimate understanding of the needs of our senior executives and business groups, which will allow the team to collect, collate, analyse and disseminate relevant information, as well as identifying and proposing new business opportunities that are aligned with the individual business groups’ missions. The roles include but not limited to the followings:
· To lead and manage activities of the CRO Office.
· To assist the CRO and Assistant CRO in setting the branch offices’ targets in Asia-Oceania region, aligning with corporate goals and objectives.
· To understand fully the strategies and requirements of our senior executives and business groups in our head office in Tokyo, as well as support the activities of our branch offices and subsidiaries in Asia-Oceania region.
· To provide geopolitical intelligence to senior executives in the head office, based on the above-mentioned strategies and requirements.
· To search and propose new business opportunities to our business groups, based on the above-mentioned strategies and requirements.
· To coordinate, support and manage interactions and collaboration between branch offices and subsidiaries in Asia-Oceania region.
· To ensure corporate compliance, including trade compliance, in all branch offices and subsidiaries in Asia-Oceania region are being observed at all times.
Job Requirements
· Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline or equivalent
· Significant knowledge and experience in providing geopolitical intelligence, developing new businesses, and managing organizations.
· High proficiency in English language and Japanese language (JLPT Level N1 or ability to speak, read and write at business level) to communicate effectively through phone calls, emails and/or meetings with the head offices in Tokyo, as well as both local and expatriate staff in the branch offices and subsidiary companies.
· Skills to create and present materials both in Japanese and English to communicate effectively with counterparties.
· Together with the CRO or assistant CRO, represent the Singapore branch office in meetings with corporate executives and government officials.
· More than 10 years’ experience in abovementioned requirements.
