Job Description

Preferred Experience in Construction – Open Cut Trenching, Shaft Construction & Pipe Jacking experiences.

1. Responsible for the successful delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, meeting requirements and within allocated budget.

2. Manage project lifecycle, from requirement, design, technical construction, testing, acceptance, training, documentation and implementation.

3. Participate in pre-project activities such as estimation of project efforts, preparation of high-level project plan with project timeline and resource requirements, and staffing and organization of project team.

4. Plan, coordinate and communicate project plan, timeline and activities to the project team. Liaise with all agencies and authorities to facilitate work progress such as LTA, SLA, HDB, SPPG, SP Group, NParks and all the telecommunication authorities

5. Monitor and track progress of projects and stay on top of the projects to ensure smooth execution.

6. Manage and coordinate project deliverables, ensuring their quality and configuration management.

7. Analyze and highlight project risks and develop necessary risk mitigation plans.

8. Analyze and highlight project dependencies to pre-empt project issues.

9. Maintain project issue register to keep close match of the project issues till their resolution.

10. Manage performance of the project team, guide the project team in resolving issues, and resolve conflicts within the project team.

11. Manage customer’s expectation by understanding customers’ needs and providing realistic expectations and scope of the projects.

12. Manage and work closely with 3rd-parties involved in projects.

13. All other ad-hoc duties assigned by the management.

Requirement:

Candidate must possess at least Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Civil) or equivalent recognized by PE Board
At least 8 years’ experience in preferably as Main Con in LTA contract
Experience in sewer drainage projects is required.

The school is seeking to hire a Project Officer to support the management and execution of two research projects. The candidate will work closely with the Principal Investigator to conduct qualitative and quantitative research related to the promotion of online safety to children and youth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the participant recruitment process for the research studies
• Collect data through qualitative and quantitative methods such as interviews, surveys and experiments
• Analyse data using different software tools such as SPSS
• Prepare progress reports, financial reports, and other research-related documents
• Write journal or conference articles related to the project
• Manage the finances of the project to ensure that appropriate expenditure levels are maintained
• Perform research administration tasks including but not limited to liaising with NTU and external parties on matters related to the project, purchasing equipment and software, and answering queries about the project

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in communication studies, psychology, or related social science fields
• Experience with managing projects, especially those that are research-oriented
• Possess skills in quantitative and qualitative research methods
• Ability to analyse and interpret quantitative and qualitative data
• Good academic writing and communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and work independently
• Past working experience in academic research roles is preferred

Responsibilities:

• Assist Project Manager with project functions, including project management, site management, and risk control to achieve project goals.
• Support Project Manager in planning and coordinating construction works according to the master and detailed work programs.
• Guide junior Engineers in daily work execution.
• Prepare and submit project documents such as schedules, method statements, design plans, risk assessments, and reports.
• Supervise construction to ensure compliance with contract specifications, drawings, quality standards, and ESH practices.
• Coordinate and liaise with clients, authorities, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers on all project matters.
• Facilitate site inspections, submit technical reports, and maintain records. Assist in verifying progress payments and contractor claims.
• Attend regular meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors to monitor project progress.
• Establish and maintain a document control system for design drawings and project documents.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering recognized by the Professional Engineer Board.
• At least 3 years of working experience in construction and infrastructure industry (LTA, Roadwaorks, MRT Projects).
