Job Description & Requirements

Prepares the Project Quality plans and Inspection Test plans according to project specifications.

Prepares welding procedure specification and conduct welder qualification tests.

Prepares quality control procedures and repair procedures for welding.

Conducts stage wise inspections like material/fit up/visual/bolt tightening/painting for fabrication and erection works.

Review and witness the non-destructive testing like ultrasonic testing and magnetic particle testing.

Liaises with Project Managers/Engineers for day-to-day inspection activities at shop/site.

Attends weekly meetings and co-orinate with clients.

Liaises with Client inspectors / third party inspectors.

Maintain good documentation for all the projects on hand.

Assist project teams on QC related issues.

Attend monthly safety committee meetings.

Job Description

• The Project Manager oversees the planning and all project operations.
• He/She manages the progress of the project and ensures quality and timely delivery.
• The Project Manager will be required to travel to project sites.
• Good communication skills are needed to liaise with the various stakeholders.
• Coordinate with relevant parties to manage progress of the project to make sure that the schedule is kept.
• Lead team to manage project operations, schedule, and specifications.
• Manage operational cost to keep cost within the budget.
• Manage site document filing and record keeping in accordance with International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) standards.
• Manage subcontractors’ activities to ensure compliance of contract requirements.
• Monitor compliance of work with the workplace safety and health regulations.
• Monitor quality of project delivery to make sure they meet project requirements and regulations.
• Oversee the project team and subcontractors in delivery of project to meet completion date.
• Provides leadership to the project management and construction team.
• Supervise daily site activities.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or Degree in Civil / Mechanical Engineering (Degree must be recognized by the Professional Engineers Board, Singapore).
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in managing construction projects for water treatment facility or process plant.
• Hands-on” attitude, meticulous and analytical with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Professional project management certification (eg. PMP, CITPM, etc) is preferred.
• Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to work under pressure, resourceful and independent with good negotiation skills.Able to work under tight deadlines.
