Department information
The Engineering Project Management department is a team of experienced professionals who are assigned to projects to manage the technical scope of the project and to ensure the technical scope is executed in compliance to contractual requirements, internal and external codes, standards and regulations within budget and schedule.
Role description
The Deputy Site EPM will initially be based in the module yard and will report to the Site EPM, and (dotted line) the Construction Manager. The deputy Site EPM will transition to the integration yard after module load out. The Deputy Site EPM is the designated deputy for the Site EPM in the event of non-availability.
As deputy Site EPM you will:
- be the first point of contact for Site Engineering and Construction teams for engineering related matters.
- Be responsible for reviewing SiteTechnical Queries at the module yard and expedite responses within 5 working days during the construction phase.
- ensure that the site engineering team is adequately staffed to enable the yard.
- ensure all site impacted approved MOC scope is captured in a timely manner with an engineering deliverable issued to the yard or with a Site instruction/Job Card.
Role requirements
SBM Schiedam is looking for candidates who have a BSc. or MSc. within any relevant Engineering discipline (Piping, Structural, Process). You have at least 10 years of Engineering experience. Experience must include on-site construction engineering exposure. Candidate must have experience leading an international team in a multi-disciplinary projects. You have demonstrable experience in leading culturally diverse teams in a turbulent work environment.
You have the following skills and experience:
- Team Management experience, navigating a culturally diverse environment
- Experience with FPSO design
- Experience with Modular Construction
- Well-developed commercial and contractual awareness
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbally
