Job Responsibilities

1) Operations

• Manage and maintain residential/commercial property sites as assigned.
• Conduct regular checks and inspection on grounds to ensure property is well maintained.
• Ensure building statutory requirements are complied.

• Provide essential customer service support to the residents and owners.

• Reviews progressive discipline documentation for accuracy and consistency and checks for supportive documentation and is accountable for determining appropriate action.

• Ensures employee issues are referred to the Department Head for resolution
• Communicates performance expectations in accordance with job descriptions for each position.

4) Managing Legal and Compliance Practices

• Ensures compliance with procedure for accessing, reviewing, and auditing employee files and ensure compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act. (PDPA)
• Ensures medical records are maintained in a separate, secure and confidential medical file.
• Ensures all safety and security policies (e.g., work safety, lost and found items, accident reporting, and hygiene) are communicated to employees on a regular basis through orientation, company meetings, etc.
• Conducts periodic claims reviews with the Finance Department to ensure claims are closed in a timely manner and reserve levels are appropriate for open claims.

• Communicate regularly with the Directors and Board of Directors of each group company on issues relating to sales planning and development and business reporting.
• Actively engage the functional teams in the Regional Headquarters in Singapore and in the group companies to collect, compile and deliver high-quality performance reports and financial analysis to the Head Office in Tokyo.
• Identify areas for improvements and further strengthen processes in the Asia Pacific Region.
• Prepare regular reports on group companies in the Asia Pacific Region to be submitted to the Head Office in Tokyo.
• Attend to regulatory issues relating to investments and business development in the Asia Pacific Region where the group companies are located.

Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business management

Experience: Business management experience in life insurance companies

• At least 7 years’ experience in the life insurance company operating globally, including 3 years of experience as Manager/Assistant Manager role or above in business development / business management / distribution and corporate planning. Successful candidate is expected to be in a global insurance company within the last 3 years.
• Experience of working in a financial industry listed in world’s major stock market (New York, NASDAQ, Tokyo, Shanghai, Euronext, London) as Manager/Assistant Manager or above in the last 3 years, regularly overseeing its overseas subsidiary and reporting for management level meetings. At least 3 years of hands-on working experience of preparing reporting materials based on Japanese Companies Act as well as Insurance Business Act.
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in business, banking, insurance, economics, financial services (including computational finance) or law.
• Working experience of corporate sales or corporate business development in insurance industry, analyzing investments and the financial indicators of a company such as company’s assets, product lines, regions, markets, regulations and stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of the different levels of market maturity and the needs of companies at different stages of development.
• Strong knowledge of data analysis and report writing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
