The role of Head of Strategy & Business Development, VIS, Asia-C will be based in Singapore reporting to the Head of Vision Care, Asia-C.
ROLE/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Main responsibilities are Strategic Development, Direct-to-market implementation, Program roll outs and Project Management.
- Strategic development:
- Works closely with Regional Head and Business Leads to design a development path and strategic action for the next five years.
- Conducts thorough SWOT analysis, market analysis, designs targeted organization to achieve the goals.
- Works closely with Commercial VIS Managers and Regional Business Leads to drive business development throughout the region.
- Designs and coordinates Direct-to-market implementations for targeted countries.
- Works with Country, M&A and Financial teams on potential mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures of existing distributors of ZEISS Vision Care in the region.
- Takes an active role in contract design and negotiations, particularly in M&A strategy and post-acquisition strategy and structure.
- Works closely with Regional Head for a holistic direct organization set-up: Commercial/ Finance/ IT/ Operations and HR implementation.
- Works closely with Global Program Team, Regional and Country leads for successful launch of specific programs.
- Is able to manage multiple Programs & Projects simultaneously.
- Analyses Commercial data, performance and processes to establish and understand trends to proactively identify areas for targeted support and/or training.
- Ready to prepare and roll-out new projects across the region based upon the Strategic Development review or Global initiatives.
- Designs the project roll out at reginal and country level
- Analyses local processes, compares to the global standard then defines requirements for local processes.
- Liaises closely with local stakeholders to ensure implementation, identifies blockage points, finds ways around.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field
- 8 years of Commercial and Finance management
- Managerial experience within multi-site/cultural environment highly
- Experience in creating Commercial strategy on a regional & local level
- Program & project management experience is essential
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multi-task, sense of urgency
- Detail oriented with the ability to handle difficult situations with tact
and diplomacy
- Ability to analyse issues and provide information and direction

- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build trust
- Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to develop, manage
and interpret metrics, data and trends
- Highly organised, good planning, time management & prioritisation
with the ability to multi-task & handle competing priorities with
deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and prior knowledge of WorkDay
is a plus
