Key Purpose of the Role:
This role will collaborate with the Regional Brand Partnership and Business Director, as well as the Managing Director to devise and execute brand partnership strategies. This role demands strong commercial acumen, a results-driven approach to closing deals, and the ability to manage brand partnerships from inception through to execution. The focus is on maximizing revenue opportunities for WMG’s domestic and international artists through strategic collaborations across Singapore and the wider Asia region.Here you will be involved in:
Help the Brand Partnership and Business Director develop and refine brand partnership strategies for Singapore with clear approach in forecast, pipeline and executional planning to maximise both local and regional SEA opportunities.
Develop, drive and grow new business (brand, sync and live shows) revenue from existing clients and new business opportunities with KPI to achieve top-line revenue and bottom line revenue growth based on target set.
Grow new business and licensing (sync) business revenue with key focus on growth and revenue generation from international, regional content and domestic signings.
Deal Closure and Revenue Generation:
- Own the deal-closing process within Singapore for high-value brand partnerships, ensuring agreements maximize revenue, meet KPIs and align with strategic goals
- Negotiate terms and finalize contracts, transforming opportunities into successful and profitable partnerships
End-to-End Partnership Management:
- Manage brand partnerships from inception to execution, ensuring all aspects of the deal are delivered seamlessly
- Oversee the planning and execution of events and other activations related to brand partnerships, ensuring they meet both WMG’s and the partner’s objectives
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all elements of the partnership are executed to a high standard
Relationship Management and Networking:
- Maintain and grow relationships with key external partners, existing and new, including brands, agencies, event organizers and more
- Work closely with the Brand Partnership and Sync network at WMG to leverage high value introductions and ensure successful partnership outcomes
Presentation and Communication:
- Craft and deliver persuasive pitches and presentations that clearly articulate the value of WMG’s artists and brand partnership opportunities
- Ensure all communications and presentations align with both the partner’s goals and WMG artist strategies
- Leverage existing and further develop top class sales kit to stand out from competition and engage clients
Internal Collaboration and Stakeholder engagement:
- Work with internal teams, such as Marketing, Promo, and Finance, to ensure brand partnership strategies align with broader business objectives
- Align and work with multiple regional and local stakeholders, in particular the Regional Functional heads for Brand, Sync and live
It's music to our ears if you have:
- At least 8 years of work experience demonstrating successful experience in business development and selling to brands and agencies, of which at least 5 years of working experience in Singapore and dealing with regional SEA clients
- Extensive understanding of business development and brand marketing challenges.
- With a strong contact list of brands and their agencies
- Organised, highly commercial with strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- High energy with strong self-motivation to seek and develop opportunities and generate revenue
- With entrepreneurial spirit and flexible working solo and with remote teams
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail
- Results driven with a relentless desire to accomplish KPIs and exceptional growth
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Other experience and competencies
- Music lover with strong music knowledge
- An understanding of music rights and their application to advertising, film or TV is preferable.
- Experience in the Entertainment industry or working with talent is highly desirable.
- Experience in managing events and concert P&L is a plus point.
- Fluent in English and bonus to be able to speak Mandarin, Korean, Malay or Bahasa.
