Purpose of the Job

Ocorian’s Private Client BD team builds and manages relationships with HNW, UNW individuals and Family Offices as well as intermediaries and other third parties. All BD activity aligns with Ocorian’s objectives, values and policies and is compliant with external regulatory requirements.

The Private Client BD Director  (Singapore) is a senior, strategic position responsible for generating new business and revenue across Singapore and wider APAC market working closely with the Private Clients, Global Head of BD, Regional Head, client facing teams and the broader Ocorian BD team. The role’s core objective is to identify, develop and implement business development initiatives and campaigns to introduce new clients to Ocorian and cross/up sell to our current client base.

The successful candidate will be based in Singapore, is a self-starter with a mature and established intermediary network as well as direct client relationships with potential new business opportunities. 

Main Responsibilities

BD activity

• Identify and target attractive Private Client market and client segments in Private Clients buying hubs,  specifically Singapore (but also wider APAC region), focusing on long-term client relationships and profitable revenue generation
• Develop and implement cross-sell initiatives across all Ocorian service lines to drive new sales from existing clients and increase revenue within the Private Client base
• Develop and manage Private Client intermediary and third-party service provider relationships to increase referrals
• Advise on strategic initiatives including product development and acquisitions, as required

BD targets and pipeline management

• Achieve and exceed personal BD targets
• Manage opportunities from inception through the sales cycle to onboarding and won-live
• Maintain BD pipeline information, call reports, proposal templates, service / fee proposals and related financial analysis
• Ensure that the Salesforce CRM system is updated with all contact and activity data

Market profile

• Build Ocorian’s market position to generate quality sales leads via:
  • Attendance and participation at industry events
  • Ocorian hosted events
  • Thought leadership articles, press releases, client newsletters etc

About the role

Reporting to the VP of Ocean team, and as part of the Trade Performance Centre (TPC) team, this role will manage allocation on trade lanes as negotiated, while also liaising with carriers and other TPC teams to monitor overall performance.

What you will be doing

Allocation Management

• Allocation Management on different Trade Lanes according to the agreements negotiated by the MO procurement team with the shipping companies for all FAK/NVOCC/NAC BASKET/NAC contracts
• Development and maintenance of allocation cards

Liaising with carriers

• Management of the Space / Equipment release with carriers
• Follow up on allocation compliance specifically on contracts subject to DeadFreight

Coordination with the network

• Work closely with other TPC teams to ensure continuous improvements and increase productivity
• Ensure that agreed SOPs are in place and respected in order to increase TPC visibility on the overall process and that data quality is improving
• Improved visibility of schedule carriers
• Conduct needs assessments and performance monitoring for communications with EU network
• Maintain dynamic communication across the network through specific flashes to inform of opportunities or difficulties.
• Conduct conference calls with stakeholders as needed (regular ones and emergency ones when needed)

Essential

• Minimum diploma AND at least 2 years’ experience in carriers or Logistics company
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel/ Powerpoint
• Strong analytical skills

Job Description:

• Oversee all Project Management Cycles from ideation to mass production, aligning with customer and project stakeholder expectations.
• Serve as the single point of contact for customer projects, responsible for implementing and communicating action plans to meet Customer Project objectives.
• Coordinate project schedules, resources, and information, working closely with customers to define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
• Develop project plans in alignment with project goals and perform cross-departmental planning for all functions involved.
• Lead design and development engineering and operations teams to execute the project plan in line with Rapsodo's commitment to customers in terms of delivery date, cost, and quality targets.
• Manage, monitor, and control project scope, risks, changes, and reporting activities from project inception through launch.
• Ensure that all Product Development Life Cycle processes are followed, and gates and milestones are accomplished.
• Ensure the proper and successful delivery and deployment of projects.

Job Profile:

• A BSc degree in Engineering is required, and an M.Sc. is a plus (preferably in Computer/Electronic Science Eng.).
• Possess 3+ years of project/program management experience, with a project management certification being advantageous.
• Experience with project management and collaboration tools, such as Jira and Confluence.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly and succinctly to both technical and non-technical team members.
• Strong understanding of Software & System Design, Device & Platform Architecture, and experience in complete Product Life Cycle Development.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Fluent in English.
• Solid presentation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work across an international organization.

DEPUTY / ASSISTANT MANAGER, TRANSIT OPERATOR PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT

[What you will be working on]

The Transit Operator Performance Management (TOPM) division is responsible for managing the rail operator’s performance in terms of operations and maintenance of MRT systems, to ensure high reliability and availability of train service. We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to join the team and take on the challenge of managing the rail operator’s performance.

You will play a key role in:
a) Planning and conducting audits on Operations and Maintenance (O&M) processes and executions covering the various rail systems (e.g. Rolling Stock, Signalling, Communications, Mechanical and Electrical services, etc) to ensure that the rail operators comply with the correct procedures, work instructions and other relevant contractual requirements;
b) Managing other contractual matters and O&M issues such as assessment of contract variations/ claims, managing contract budget, investigation of incidents/ service delays, etc ;
c) Liaising with various internal and external stakeholders on issues pertaining to design review, system interface, testing and commissioning, emergency exercises, etc;

[What we are looking for]

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering
• Proficient in MS Office (i.e., Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word). Proficiency in data visualisation/ analytics tool, or robotic process automation will be an advantage
• At least 3 years of design or O&M experience in large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably in the railway industry
• Ability to engage and manage multiple internal and external stakeholders
• Self-motivated, astute, meticulous, and resourceful
• Good communication (both oral and written) as well as presentation skills
• Familiarity with relevant local railway and building regulations, codes and standards will be an advantage
• Candidates with very good relevant experience may be considered for more senior positions
