WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

• For quality management, the engineer is responsible to fully implement with the quality recordings, carry out result analysis and formulate action plans for continuous improvement.
• Implement and maintain proper recordings to comply with EHS, quality, client and authorities’ requirements.
• Responsible for cost management so that the materials used for both temporary works and permanent works are not damaged or control the wastage within specified tolerance. Rework or abortive work which has serious time and cost impacts shall be avoided.
• Ad-hoc matters as assigned by the PM which is necessary for the execution of the project.

• Formulating procurement strategy and preparation of work package breakup for subcontracts and suppliers;
• Implementation of Company procurement procedure
• Pre-qualification of suitable subcontractors and suppliers for the project;
• Ensures proper preparation of and completeness of subcontractor/supplier tender documents;
• Review scope definition documents and interfaces to remove ambiguity and scope gaps;
• Review queries by bidders and responses to ensure clarity and alignment with Company’s expectations and required apportionment of risk;
• Bid price analysis, review of all bidder submissions including qualifications / proposed amendments to Company’s terms and scope documents;
• Internal alignment on selection of bidders and final negotiations to close on all open price items and terms prior to award;
• Managing and aligning the cost of packages against approved budgets to keep within the project financial and profit objectives;
• Preparation of recommendation reports for approval to commit to subcontractor/suppliers;
• Preparation of Letters of Award and Contract Documents and following through for proper execution with due expedition.
• Providing all bid price information to the Estimating Team to build on current pricing database and for use on future projects and benchmarking.
• Preparing notices to Client including applications for Substantial Completion / Taking-over Certificate.
• Implementing project close-out procedures
• Alignment of subcontracts/suppliers deliverables with Client Head Contract requirements;
• Negotiation and settlement of all changes/claims for closing-out of final account;
• Completing subcontractor/supplier performance evaluation reports for future reference /
• Proper final documentation for project close-out (bonds, warranties, signed final accounts).

Qualifications:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying
• Familiar with SIA form of contract, PSSCOC & other international form of contract.
• Must be able to comprehend construction drawings, project specifications.

The person will be responsible for

1) Prepare & compile Monthly Progress Claim for all the projects;

2) Prepare & submit Variation Order for all projects where applicable;

3) Quantity Take-off;

4) Assist in monitoring & compilation of all ISO 9001, ISO14001 & ISO45001 documentation for Audit & BCA Accreditation;

5) Any others relevant task that maybe assign from time to time

Qualifications : Diploma in related field;

Experience : Fresh or 2 years relevant experience will be added advantage;

Job Duties & Responsibilities:-

• Overseeing the procurement of materials.
• Coordinating with the various clients , consultants, main-contractors , architects, sub contractors and specialist to ensure the smooth and timely execution of the project deliverables.
• Ensuring that all works are carried out in accordance with the project specifications.
• Ensuring that all works are carried out within the project budget given.
• Overseeing the various design elements of the project.
• Providing timely submissions for cash flow and progress claims.
• Procurement of materials and ensuring the timely delivery of the materials as per site requirement.
• Ensuring that all team members can deliver their daily works and that the team meets the project requirements.
• Monitoring and improving of overall project progress to meet critical milestone dates.
• Submission of monthly / weekly progress and safety reports.
• Reporting of all project matters to the management.
• Preparing and presenting of consolidated contractual claims to the client representives.
• Any other works/tasks given by the Management for the completion of the project and other Ad-hoc assignments.

• To liaison with the client, consultant, suppliers (sub-contractors) and other relevant authorities on management issues pertaining to the project.

Requirements:

• Degree / Diploma in relevant Engineering discipline.
• Must have at least 5 years of post-graduate experience in project management
• Ability to handle Projects independently.
• Ability to display initiative in execution of tasks and being pro-active in the delivery of tasks
• Dealing professionally in managing tasks and consistently meet tight deadlines
• Attention to details and good problem solving skills

• Overseeing the construction activities and progress, planning, implementation and monitoring work schedules in accordance to the master and detailed work programs.
• Liaise with Consultants on technical issues and coordinate the site activities with subcontractors.
• Maintain quality standards and carry out site inspections.
• Ensure compliance with EHS requirements, regulations, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
• To supervise and ensure works are in accordance to the contract drawings and specifications.
• Ensure site safety and proper execution of site work procedure on site
• Plan the sequences of the construction operations following the Project Quality Plan.
