Having recently closed our Series A investment with major financial institutions such as HSBC and Euroclear, Marketnode is now well positioned for it’s next growth phase and is looking for a Business Analyst, to identify, analyse and meet the business requirements for the Funds & transaction management platform to deliver a true end-to-end DMI out of Asia.

Job summary

• Create detailed business requirement documents, technical specifications, project documentation, user stories, and process flows to support the identified requirements
• Support and organise workshops and meetings with both internal and external stakeholders to gather insights and provide project updates
• Support project activities and where needed to deliver project deliverables
• Work with engineering teams to convert business needs into functional and technical specifications
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to establish acceptance criteria and ensure that features undergo thorough testing
• Work together with Product Team to design, build, and enhance the product.
• Support the onboarding process for project or product clients as needed

Requirements

• > 5 years of experience in project delivery, business analysis, and project management in financial markets
• Must have at least 3 years of experience in Mutual funds domain working with cross-functional teams
• Strong data skills with an emphasis on data-driven decision-making and operational models
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Seft-starter and ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Familiarity with project management tools like Confluence, Jira, Sharepoint and as well as methodologies such as Agile, Scrum and Waterfall is a must

Job Description:

-Develop strategic investment opportunity of new business related to realization of decarbonized and recycling-oriented society in Southeast Asia and surrounding areas by utilizing day to day networking and information collection with Japanese and foreign government agencies as well as private companies (Financial institutions, trading companies, electric power & gas companies, shipping companies, consulting firms etc.)

-Execute and manage a new investment project with internal coordination and collaboration with relevant head office departments in Japan (business divisions, finance/accounting, legal affairs, etc.)

-Support appropriate business operations of the company as the ENEOS Group's main overseas group company, and initiatives to improve the efficiency of business operations.

-Assist the Managing Director's and Deputy Managing Director’s mission from the perspective of Business Development

-Contribute to the identification and development of future management personnel and high-level professionals by paying attention to the human resources in the company.

-Liaise with Headquarters (ENEOS Corporation in Japan)

Job Requirements:

Master of science or engineering or equivalent is required

At least 15 years of relevant experience in oil trading / oil and gas industries

At least 2 years work experience in business development and at least 5 years work experience in facility planning.

Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)

Ability to communicate in fluent English to communicate with colleague and clients well.

Ability to speak and write in fluent Japanese language is required to communicate and negotiate with Japanese speaking associates and clients and to report to headquarter managements and employees in Japan who cannot speak and write in English well.

Responsibilities

• Identify new business development and investment opportunities by research for the market trend and deals by talking to industry professionals, consulting entrepreneurs and new companies in Sri Lanka

Requirements

• Professional Certificate in accounting and finance would be an added advantage
• Excellent computer skills in MS Office software, especially MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
• Strong in logical thinking, result oriented, focused on details, and able to multi-task, prioritize, and arrange tasks and schedules to delivery outcomes on time
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, effective communication, open minded, and positive attitude to coordinate among external partners and internal members
• Able to travel overseas to assigned countries like Sri Lanka depending on requirements (estimated 4 to 6 times a year)
• Able to communicate clearly and effectively with industry professionals, company management, investors based overseas in Sri Lanka
• Proficiency in Sinhala and Tamil language to communicate and manage relevant stakeholders based overseas effectively would be an added advantage
• Prior working experience in a Japanese firm would be advantageous
