• Ensure On-boarding KYC, KYC on customers’ account maintenance and periodic. KYC review documents are appropriate, sufficient and the completeness of customers’ documents are in accordance to the AML standard set by the bank.

• Perform validation on transaction reviews and be able to identify any

abnormal transactions during KYC review.

• Ensure proper tracking and documentation of all KYCs conducted for

customers and reviews are completed timely as per AML requirements.

• Partner with Business unit and work closely with Compliance when

performing due diligence checks on customers.

• Initiate STR filing if any suspicious activity is uncovered during KYC

checking and reviewing on a timely basis.

• Organize regular AML training for business units to promote compliance awareness and updates on regulatory requirements

• Assist to streamline KYC processes and propose solutions to LCD for future revisions.

• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Management.

Job Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant working experience in the AML/KYC/CDD related functions in Corporate Banking / Commercial Banking.

• Keep a good in-depth knowledge and understanding of current AML/CFT regulation and KYC procedures.

· To oversee and manage activities of the Petroleum Trading & Marketing team, Low Carbon Fuel Business Development team and Hydrogen team in Environmental Energy Business Department.

· Based on each business situation of Environmental Energy Group’s subsidiaries, group companies in Singapore, and the branch offices in the Asia-Oceania region, assist to define business strategies, reach a consensus with Tokyo HQ and CRO office, and support the activities of those frontline group companies and the branch offices.

· Leveraging Singapore’s unique political/business environment, create new business models which are aligned with the Company’s direction and Environmental Energy Group’s business strategies.

· To analyze information and reports to identify global and local market trends, as well as new destinations and growth opportunities in next generation fuel, hydrogen, carbon credit and its relevant business industries in Singapore and Asia-Oceania region.

· Establish strong relationships with existing and prospective business partners, consultants, bankers, etc. in Singapore and Asia-Oceania region for potential business opportunities/advancement and gathering of market intelligence.

· To lead and manage good interactions with diverse groups of stakeholders, with the objective of forming possible business partnerships and commercializing projects.

· To guide, train, develop and motivate a diverse group of team members and communicating in English & Japanese for effective team management.

Job Requirements

· Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business Management or equivalent.

· Skills, expertise and experiences to research, develop and deploy new business in relation to Energy business, especially for petroleum and biofuel including trading & marketing and logistics for transport and storage, as well as hydrogen and carbon credit.

· Strong Knowledge on investment and project finance practice.

· Well-versed on sustainable solutions, ESG and SDGs.

· High proficiency in Japanese and English (listening, speaking and writing) to communicate effectively through phone calls, video conference, emails and/or meetings with Tokyo HQ, Mitsubishi Corporation’s group companies and/or local and/or Japanese staff.

• Advise, challenge, inform line teams on recommended ways to mitigate risk; review action items to ensure that risk is being sufficiently addressed
• Manage operational risk events – developing and implementing remediation action items with key stakeholders while adhering to firm reporting guidelines
• Lead emerging market event and exposure scenarios where operational risk expertise is required (Sanctions / Default / Counterparty Events)

During these reviews, define thematic RCSA issues to help structure remediation plans regarding significant open risks or control deficiencies
