About the Role
Your role will be varied and will include:
- Responsible for all the procurement negotiations for the project and lead the development and implementation of Contracting Strategy and Procurement Plan including the use of appropriate forms for of contract and compensation models Provide inputs related to Contracting and Procurement timelines to the overall Project schedule. Input the Contracting and Procurement timelines to the overall Project schedule.
- Develop a Contracting Strategy and Procurement for the project in conjunction with the Project Manager. Implement and manage the complete Procurement element of the Project and for the commercial aspects of Contracts.
- Ensure that all Procurement issues including inspection and expediting are addressed through all phases of the project life cycle. Ensure sufficient procurement manpower resources and hardware are available to meet the programmes.
- Ensure that all activities within this responsibility are undertaken in a way that doesn’t adversely impact project schedule. Ensure that all appropriate Procurement staff are kept fully aware of the Project. To ensure effective communications with the project team in order that the total contracting and procurement process meets the Project programme requirements.
- Manages the competitive bidding, evaluation, and award process & budget allocations of project. Support legal team with contract negotiation.
- To consider the implications of the project on future Procurement resource requirements, including consideration of Procurement requirements and staffing levels and training of Procurement staff.
About you?
To be successful in the role, you need to have been successful in a similar pharma industry procurement role where your exposure was on a similar scale to our business, which has a global multinational supply footprint.
You’ll also need to have;
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management, logistics, or business administration
- Minimum 8+ years of Capex/Strategic Sourcing or Category management experience in Pharma industry
- Steered significant global Capex spend exceeding US$500M
- Experience using supply chain management software and tools, including Oracle, SAP Ariba, Coupa
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access).
- In-depth knowledge of preparing and drafting & reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms
