Job Scope:

The Privacy team within GovTech’s Data Engineering Practice was set up to raise the government’s capabilities in data privacy and drive adoption of Privacy-Enhancing Technologies. Our team has developed whole-of-government tools like Cloak for anonymisation, which is used by 100+ agencies today and has anonymised over 30 million documents to power data analytics and Generative AI use cases.

Synthetic data is an upcoming privacy technology that allows for agencies to generate alternative forms of sensitive data that can then be safely utilised and shared. We are seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer for Mirage, a whole-of-government product for Synthetic Data Generation. Mirage is currently offered as a web interface with API integration on the roadmap. We launched in August 2024 and are currently in an exciting early growth phase, with active feature development.

Required Skills:

1. Have Degree or Diploma in computing, design or a relevant field of study
2. Min. 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related role
3. Experience in frontend technologies (HTML, CSS and JS/TS) as well as any web framework (React, Angular, Vue, Nextjs and etc)
4. Experience in backend with REST APIs or any other backend frameworks
5. Experience with the cloud (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure)
6. Experience with Infrastructure as Code tooling would be an advantage
7. Familiarity with Git version control and testing
8. Understanding of DevOps, Git and CI/CD would be an advantage
