Job Description

Data Management (80%)

• Create and maintain SAP master data for grants and funds (e.g. fund, cost centre, WBS) for entities timely upon request from stakeholders.
• Check supporting documents provided to ensure information contained is complete and in accordance with the overall data schema.
• Liaise with stakeholders to resolve any discrepancies.
• Perform closing of project codes timely as per SOP, and any re-opening as required to facilitate operations.
• Perform regular checks on newly created master data, flag exceptions for follow-up and resolution.
• Ensure documentations are well organised and maintained

Management Reporting (20%)

• Support the maintenance of data visualisation dashboard that runs on Tableau platform.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy in system and performing regular checks
• Process and maintain user access , coordinate and conduct regular training, manage queries and feedback
• Prepare monthly management reports to supporting entities
• Other ad-hoc tasks as required

Job Requirements

• Qualifications in Accountancy or Finance with 2-3 years of relevant experience.
• Fresh Grads are also welcomed provided with good working determination
• Good command of MS Office application
• Must be Meticulous, organised as you will be dealing with large sets of number/data at one go
• Must possess good communication skills as you will liaise with internal/external stakeholders
• Knowledge of SAP and BI reporting tools is a plus

The Position

We are seeking to hire a Fixed Income Trader to execute orders from portfolio managers and analysts across our APAC book of business, to include cash and derivatives. This is an execution role, but there is significant opportunity and expectation to add value to client portfolios through collaboration with portfolio managers and analysts. This position is based in our Singapore office.

Wellington Management’s Trading Department employs over 60 traders globally and operates in specialized teams according to sectors and products. Our investment and trading activities are conducted on an industry-leading internally developed technology platform, which we believe creates a meaningful competitive advantage. We are also supported by an in-house team of managers and quantitative and business analysts, who oversee the “business” of the department and provide in-depth, action-oriented insights into our trading capabilities and activities.

Responsibilities

Principal responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Executing Macro, Credit, and FX transactions, using a mixture of high-touch and low-touch execution methods, for all relevant accounts under management.
• Executing orders in a manner consistent with our best execution and risk management practices, as well as our policies and procedures.
• Gathering, analyzing, and disseminating market, sector and security information that identifies or creates actionable investment opportunities.
• Developing and enhancing over time an in-depth understanding of the investment philosophies and strategies of our portfolio managers, strategists, and analysts.
• Soliciting potential trade interest from portfolio managers and locating external supply/identifying internal demand for liquidity opportunities in the market.
• Remaining informed of new product developments.
• Fostering new trading relationships and leveraging existing relationships.
• Monitoring and improving efforts to enhance efficiency while mitigating risk.

Qualifications

A successful candidate should have the following qualifications:

• Have a minimum of 2 years' relevant Fixed Income trading experience. Experience trading a wide array of instruments would be additive.
• A demonstrated ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced, dynamic, team-oriented environment;
• A strong work ethic, an outstanding attention to detail, and a proven ability to work deliberately and carefully, even under tight deadlines and time pressures;
• A self-starter attitude and ability to proactively identify, review and lead efforts to improve our processes;
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Impeccable integrity, fiduciary mindset, and ability to consistently place the interests of our clients as the number one priority;
• Strong analytical skills and an ability to apply those skills in a highly practical fashion.
• Strong quantitative skills, programming experience would be additive.
• A pro-technology mindset and the ability to leverage technology to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
• Strong academic credentials; a Bachelor’s degree is required, and MBA/CFA (or progress toward) would be additive.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) is a plus.

Requirements

- Native English speaker

- Familiar with MOE Syllabus (Primary or Secondary)

- Familiar with AEIS Exam format and content

- Track record in significantly improving student performance for AEIS exam

- Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and organisational skills

- MOE experience is a plus but not a must
