Job Description:

• Control and direct the food preparation process and any other relative activities
• Construct menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servings
• Approve and “polish” dishes before they reach the customer
• Plan orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortages

Requirements and skills

• Proven experience as Head Chef

Full-time chef, capable to do basic Chinese cuisine cooking such as fried finger food and fried bee hoon. Able to work 6 days a week and rest day on Mondays. Working hour generally between 1100H and 2100H. Monthly basic pay from $2500, with meals catered for. Required at least 2 years of F&B industry experience.

- Prepare all food items as required by the business

- Carry out administrative duties to maintain an efficient workspace.

- Oversee food preparation, checking that all kitchen staff are performing their duties.

- Come up with recipe ideas from scratch and plan the menus.

- Determine how much food and supplies need to be ordered.

- Monitor equipment quality and order new equipment as needed.

- Ensure the kitchen is clean and sanitised at all times.
