He/She is responsible to perform all functions related to the Executive Floor operation and guest relations to create and upkeep a pleasant experience for guests by rendering warm and personalized services at all times. He/She must also welcome and assist guests on the first level lobby in providing a personalized service with a warm and friendly manner..

Duties & Responsibilities

· Attend to all guests’ enquiries and requests on hotel facilities / services, tourist information / tours, self-service launderette, photocopy service, foreign currencies, retail shop, community workshops and so on.

· Carry out pre-arrival activities which includes, but not limit to, preparing welcome letters for VIPs and Executive Club guests, issuing meal and welcome drink coupons, efficient room assignment, charge Non-Refundable Deposit bookings, check correspondences are attached accordingly.

· Check and ensure all assigned rooms are prepared according to the Hotel’s standard and all necessary amenities and guest supplies are properly extended.

· Greet and welcome guests upon arrival and bid farewell upon departure especially in the lobby and at the main entrance.

· Escort guest to reception counter, perform check-in and check-out or in-room check-in for VIPs. Explain the necessary guest’s entitlements and promote in-house facilities.

· Perform daily due-out, extension of stay, late checkout, no-show, room and rate change based on established procedures.

· Show and sell rooms to potential guests, such as walk-in guests, and take room reservations, up-sell rooms and other products whenever possible.

· Carry out transactions, while adhering to hotel’s accounting and controlling procedure, in different modes of payment such as cash, credit/charged card, corporate account, vouchers, and post transactions accurately to ensure accountability of guest’s expenses. Prepare documents accordingly.

· Issue keycards and related vouchers (e.g. carpark coupons, complimentary drink vouchers) based on the established procedures.

About the role:

• Manage the QEHS department (including its budget), set up the objectives of the team members, define and roll out the QEHS action plan, monitor the QEHS KPIs
• Responsible for compliance with the Singapore regulations including terms of licenses to operate
• Responsible for providing the necessary information in view of the EHS reporting
• Take part in the QEHS community, communicating and implementing the company Group standards within the HW business in Singapore (for instance, organize the Safety Week within the premises of HW plant)
• Responsible for maintaining the Integrated Management System (IMS) up-to-date and for the ISO certifications by interacting transversely and on a regular basis with the other HODs (including, update of SOPs & RAs, organisation of internal audits, follow up of IMS certification audits and any other related responsibility)
• Build a genuine relationship with the HODs in order to deploy in an effective way the safety policy of the company (including but not limited to the following: safety visits, incident reporting & root cause analysis, incident actions tracking, development of BBSO, identification of risks and particularly of High Potential situations)
• Develop a multifaceted and centralised environmental reporting, including CO2 and energy topics with the support of engineering team
• Responsible, together with the Fire Safety Manager (FSM) who is a member of the QEHS department, for the effective deployment of the Emergency Response Plan: submission and approval of the authorities, developing the emergency scenario, training strategy of the CERT, internal communication
• Responsible for the Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) studies carried out within HW business
• Participate in the WSH committee

About you:

• Degree in Process Safety / Chemical Engineering / QEHS / Environmental Engineering, WSQ Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety and Health (SDWSH), or related fields
• Minimum 10 years of experience in chemical, refinery, pharmaceutical, power plant or green business;
• Must have experience in matrix environment and people management.
• Process Safety is an added advantage.
• Having demonstrated leadership in conducting the change
• Experience in management, but also in transversal management
• High ethical standards at the workplace;
• Results oriented individual with robust process safety management abilities;
• Able to lead a cross-functional team to achieve the departmental goal of lean production and operational excellence

The Research Officer will oversee the progress of the research study under the supervision of the Principal investigator. They will perform a variety of research activities which include planning and execution of experiments for functional validation, leading up to a scientific publication.

Main Duties:

1. Tissue Logistics

• Tracking of biological samples received in the lab pertaining to the study
• Collection of patient samples (FFPE, Tissue, WBC,DNA or RNA) from Pathology
• DNA/RNA extraction from frozen tissue or FFPE
• Submission of DNA/RNA samples to external sequencing partner

2. Cell culture

• Generation of cell line and/or organoids from tissue collected from the study
• Maintenance of these cell lines and/or organoids in culture

3. Perform tasks and support all aspects of the research project

• Performing literature reviews when required
• Plan and execute experiments for functional validation
• Conduct accurate monitoring, documenting and reporting of experimental result and research findings
• Evaluate and interpret collected data and prepare oral presentations/scientific manuscripts/ literature for publication

4.Perform other related duties

• Laboratory upkeep and maintenance

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master of Science degree in related technical discipline (biology, cell biology, biomedical science, biochemistry or molecular biology)
• Experience working in a clinical or academic environment
• Strong technical/wet lab skills
• Team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently
• Independent worker, possess initiative to complete tasks and projects assigned
• Highly motivated to learn new techniques and not afraid to ask if unsure
