Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to kick start your career at Citi! We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic team players, with a strong work ethic, who will join Markets Operations. The FX Middle Office Analyst is a mid level position within the APAC Middle Office team, part of the Markets Operations organization. This is a great opportunity to join a high-performing team that provides daily support to our Front Office and Clients. You will play an important part in helping to support the lifecycle of a trade by working closely with Business partners, Client’s, and internal stakeholders to ensure all transactions flow through our front to back Operations teams, with no issues. The overall objective of this role is to support the Front office desk, responsible for providing trade lifecycle support, performing and reviewing controls, trade exception and remediation.

Responsibilities:

• Provide analytical and administrative support to Front Office Sales and Trading specifically related to FX & Option businesses in Hub locations - Australia/Hong Kong/Singapore
• Supporting lifecycle activities – Fixing, Expiry, Allocation, Amendment/Cancellation, Novation, and interaction with Business, Firm’s Clients, Operations and Technology to manage post execution issues
• Perform control functions based on intermediary processing systems and records
• Complete daily tasks timely and accurately
• Ensure the desk is in compliant with internal and external regulations at all times
• Manage, escalate and resolve all requests / inquiries / issues / errors and identify policy gaps
• Willingness to cross train across functions
• Assist Team Lead in all their duties as required
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualification and Skills:

• 2 years relevant experience preferred
• Fundamental understanding of FX & Option products, trade lifecycle management, and related operational risks
• Team oriented personality, thrives in a team environment and can also work independently
• Self-motivation, flexibility, and a strong desire to succeed
• Proven ability to perform various concurrent activities/projects in a fast pace environment
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience preferred
