• Position Title: Project Engineer (Oil & Gas / Petroleum / Chemical)

Key Responsibilities

• Acting as the principal technical liaison among the project team, customers, subcontractors, and the company.
• Reviewing project specifications and related documents.
• Ensuring the implementation of good engineering standards and practices.
• Focusing on understanding and solving customer technical problems to improve satisfaction.
• Maximizing project profitability through appropriate material buyout and engineering approaches.
• Developing and completing major engineering deliverables according to the Vendor Document Schedule.
• Managing design, analysis, and drafting to meet technical and schedule requirements.
• Handling quality control, including maintenance of non-conformance reports (NCRs) and specification waivers.
• Coordinating with the Document Controller to ensure adherence to technical and document control processes.
• Interfacing with the Project Manager for engineering deliverables and resources.
• Preparing material requisition specifications and conducting goods receipt inspections.
• Supervising fabrication/installation work and assisting with internal testing and FAT.
• Preparing final and As-built documentation, as well as Operation & Maintenance Manuals and Manufacturer Data Records.
• Promoting and developing solution capabilities and application knowledge to support current and future projects.

• Min. Diploma in Instrument/Electrical/Chemical Engineering or equivalent
• Min. 2 years of relevant working experience in a similar industry
• Knowledge of Oil & Gas, Petroleum, or Chemical Industries would be preferred
• Familiar with Microsoft Office with knowledge of AutoCAD will be an added advantage

Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

This role will be responsible for our Product Application Lab for Semiconductor applications. Working closely with the Sales team and global technical resources, the selected candidate will support the development and growth of Semiconductor industry products in the region, focused on Southeast Asia. The initial focus will be on Strip, Etch, and Clean (SEC) solutions, but will also grow to include the Elevate® line of electroplating products. Specifically, the duties will include:

• Having a deep understanding of Technic products for the Semiconductor industry,
• Keeping abreast of industry developments and market position/performance of comparable competitive products.
• Working with Sales team to select appropriate customer and application targets
• Visiting customers across the territory to understand their equipment, process, and product performance requirements.
• Starting-up and operating the Technic Wafer Processing and Failure Analysis lab
• Conducting product functional performance testing & measurements either on-site or coordinating with other Regions to generate test results remotely.
• Advising on laboratory upgrades needed to better serve customers
• Liaising with customers during qualification tests and providing trouble-shooting advice after installation
• Recommending the best product for the application based on product experience and/or laboratory trials
• Hiring and supervising at least one technician to maintain the lab and support customer trials
• Developing specifications and facility recommendations for local manufacturing of SEC products, either at Technic or third-party facilities
• Advise on hiring and lead training of operators for local manufacturing
• Set operating procedures, quality targets and release specifications for any eventual locally made semiconductor products
• Developing external collaborations with co-suppliers, Universities, or Government Research Institutes to strengthen our offering, improve our market visibility, or secure funding to advance our product offerings.

Requirement

• The role may require regular travel to Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines, and Thailand (1-2 times per month) & less frequent travel to France and the US (1-2 times per year)
• Qualifications: Graduate degree (Masters or PhD) in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
• Experience: 10 Years of experience in Semiconductor Wafer Processing industries
