Responsibilities:

• Work independently to ensure the assigned task for raw materials, in-process, utility, milk powder samples are tested in a timely manner to meet TAT, according to established test methods, technology and quality requirements to provide accurate results. • Good understanding of GLP, GDP, GMP and ISO17025 standard for working in laboratory to maintain the laboratory activities comply to these standards.

• Conduct accurately for daily analysis of precious metal materials based on SOPs given in final sampling and analysis Lab
• Provide a prompt and appropriate technical advice to Operation Personnel based on SOPs which includes material handling procedure and hazards
• Work closely with operation department to establish a cost-effective treatment/recovery method for incoming/customer materials
• Assist in providing advice and co-ordination work in technical-driven recovery trials in Operation
• Assist in optimization of alternative analysis and recovery methods
• Assist Laboratory in performing experimental work
• Perform other duties which may be assigned from time to time

Requirements:

• Min Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry with at least 2 years of laboratory experience in precious metal/ base metal industry, eg.fire assay analysis and ICP machine operation
• Good analytical abilities and communication skills

Assistant Chemist/Lab Technician

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle and manage industrial chemicals safely, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
• Receive, label, and log all incoming samples for accountability and traceability.
• Prepare samples by drying, crushing, splitting, and pulverizing as per procedural requirements.
• Mix fluxing reagents accurately and load samples into the furnace for fire assay processes.
• Conduct acid digestion by mixing and applying specific reagents.
• Perform fire assay techniques, including the precise handling of reagents and heat management.
• Work effectively in a hot environment and handle tasks requiring physical effort, such as lifting 10kg bars of precious metals.
• Maintain accurate records of all processes and communicate findings effectively through verbal and written reports.

Qualifications and Requirements:ed.

• Knowledge of industrial chemicals and their safe handling.
• Proficiency in fire assay techniques and sample preparation.
• Familiarity with lab equipment and chemical analysis tools.
