Job Description

The Department of Psychology at NUS https://fass.nus.edu.sg/psy/ has well-established undergraduate, graduate research, and graduate clinical psychology professional training programmes. The Department consists of an internationally diverse group of faculty members who are committed to excellence in research, teaching, and clinical practice.
We seek applicants for 2 full-time Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Clinical Psychology position, Educator-Track, to join us in January 2025. The Department at this time specifically aims to strengthen professional teaching within the NUS Clinical Psychology Programme, hence all successful applicants must have a doctoral-level qualification in clinical psychology and be registered and/or licenced to practice in their home countries. Established clinical practice experience, academic teaching in a higher education establishment, and prior experience in providing clinical supervision are essential. Further experience in post-doctoral clinical research, or in supervision of clinically applied research projects, would be advantageous.
Campus visits will likely take place in August 2024 at the NUS Department of Psychology. Shortlisted applicants must be available for campus visits during the specified period. The department will not accommodate any requests for rescheduling of interviews. Prior to campus visits, remote pre-interviews with shortlisted candidates might be conducted, at the discretion of the Search Committee.
Qualifications

- Full CV, including education, professional background, clinical and teaching experience, provision of clinical supervision, research activities, and service accomplishments to date.
- A Preface (maximum 300 words) that makes the case for your appointment. This should be a highly distilled summary of your key contributions to clinical practice, student learning, and education, guided by your teaching and clinical philosophies.
- A Teaching Statement (maximum 3,000 words) that conveys the evidence of student learning and educational leadership (if applicable). It should articulate your contributions across multiple domains of academic teaching practice (instruction, clinical and research supervision, student assessment, and course design). Evidence of educational and/or clinical leadership can exemplify how you influence peers and others in their teaching and/or clinical practice. Where applicable, you may also briefly explain how your research and service contributions enhance your academic teaching abilities. The statement must reflect on the candidates’ teaching philosophy.
- Teaching evaluations and, if applicable, peer review reports. Other evidence of teaching excellence is welcome.
- Examples of taught module outlines, samples of teaching materials and assessment tasks, if available.
