Role Overview

This position is responsible to ensure that products meet quality goals and regulatory requirements, including but not limited to FDA Regulations, ISO 13485, EU MDR requirements, and Risk Management per ISO 14971 and maintain compliance of the Quality Management System (QMS).

Duties and Responsibilities

• Partner with R&D teams in the USA, Japan, and Singapore to ensure that design control is completed in accordance with procedures, WI, regulatory requirements, and assure that required outputs have been completed

Experience

Fabrica AI is reinventing how robots are developed. Currently novel robots take 5-20 years. We are building a design automation platform to bring it down to a month, and have already demonstrated significant progress by developing tile grouting robots in record time. Robotics simulation and reinforcement learning has been advancing a lot making it 1000x cheaper to train robots compared to 5 years ago, and as Jensen Huang said at Nvidia GTC 2024, "the ChatGPT moment for robotics may be just around the corner." A couple other companies are building on the same paradigm shift but we are the only ones using it to automate hardware design, not just software.

Building robots and a design automation platform together brings great synergy - the platform helps us develop robots faster than anyone else and the robots allow us to gather data and do experiments at scale. Data gathering can be done through partnerships with other robotics companies, but doing experiments is crucial for grounding the platform in reality and ensuring its usefulness. The grouting robots are already deploying daily at construction sites and bringing value to clients. We are currently negotiating sales worth around 500k USD. With manufacturing cost multiple times lower than companies using a traditional robotic arm, our robots have an ROI in weeks. Our robot is also small and simple to use, operating from a single button without the need to upload floorplans or do any complex setup. Soon we would be expanding into other simple and valuable robots for the construction industry.

About the role

We are looking for a LEAN Programming Engineer to take a hands-on implementation approach in designing, implementing, and optimizing our theorem-proving AI system. You will contribute to research and development of critical components of our AI architecture: (a) formalizing mathematical, scientific and engineering problems into a domain knowledge model and representation, and (b) independent validation of outputs via formal verification systems. Description

As an SRE at Apple, you will work on world-renowned internet services that serve hundreds of millions of users worldwide. You’ll collaborate closely with development teams and other stakeholders in the entire lifecycle of services from inception through deployment and continuous refinement. Your responsibilities will include monitoring performance and availability, capacity and disaster recovery planning, defining Service Level Objectives (SLO) and ensuring the reliability and resiliency of systems. • Support and lead cross functional projects across multiple services - Design, analyze and troubleshoot complex mission-critical distributed systems on a global scale.
• Provide OnCall support to 1st level production support teams.
• Participate in incident management and blameless postmortems.
• Detect and resolve performance bottlenecks, enhance service efficiency.
• Write clear technical documentation, production run books.

Minimum Qualifications

• BS degree in computer science or equivalent field with 5+ years or MS degree with 3+ years experience, or equivalent.
• At least 5 years in a Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps or infrastructure focused role
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in supporting internet-facing production services and distributed systems
• Experience in collaborating effectively across organizations, building strong relationships
• Proficient coding experience with Python or similar scripting languages
• Experience with containers and container orchestration platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Grafana, and Prometheus
• Demonstrated ability to deliver results on time with high quality
• Experience in managing and scaling distributed systems in a public, private, or hybrid cloud environment
• Experience in debugging Java code and optimizing JVM performance is plus.
• Understanding of the Linux Operating System, standard networking protocols, and components
