Duties to be Performed:

Senior Mechanical Engineer for HVAC Systems shall be handling on designing and delivering mechanical systems for industrial properties in semiconductors, electronics, biopharma, and related industries.

The mechanical systems include Cleanroom, HVAC, Process exhausts, vacuum, condenser, chilled water, process and process cooling water, fire protection, diesel fuel, natural gas and associated, equipment, ducts and pipe works.

The Duties/ Responsibilities of the Prospective Candidate are,

• Responsible for Engineering of Concept / Basic / Detail design for Mechanical systems with the focus of HVAC systems.
• Shall perform system related engineering calculation including heat load calculation, equipment sizing, distribution system sizing from fundamentals with spreadsheet tools.

Job / Skills Requirement:

• You should have a bachelor's degree in mechanical.
• You should have sound experience in mechanical systems in designing and installation works related to semiconductors, biopharma, laboratories, data centers, or process buildings.

• Work closely with the project manager and administer the design control system and programming to meet budget and timeline expectations of the project.
• Responsible of modifying controls, designs, and other documents in accordance with processes and standards and in line with industry standards as per the customer's URS.
• Assist and participate in internal the purchase, FAT and SAT, test and debug, controls and validation operations.

As a Senior Engineer, you will join the structural design team as a leading member applying sound engineering to design and deliver Elevated infrastructure works for MRT and Roads.

Job Responsibilities:

Supported by your manager, you will play a leading role in applying sound engineering principles and prevailing standards to design elevated MRT stations, Rail Viaducts and Road Viaducts, in close collaboration with our geotechnical engineering colleagues.

On a day-to-day basis, you will:

• Lead, Guide and supervise team members to deliver quality work on time.
• Develop and drive concept designs and associated construction sequences for infrastructure works.
• Guide and supervise team members to carry out detailed structural analyses and design of elevated works and foundations.
• Guide and supervise team members prepare detailed design calculations and reports of high quality for client and authority submissions.
• Prepare / deliver concise and accurate technical communications including informative presentations.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external project team members to deliver coordinated designs.

Additional duties may also include:

• Point-of-contact with client representatives, and authority officials to obtain design clearances.
• Mamaging the design development.
• Delivery of tender submissions and presentations.

Requirements:

• Recognised Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering (with appropriate experience);
• Preferably with a M.Sc. or M.Eng. in Structural Engineering .
• Competent in 2D and 3D analysis tools, Eurocodes and familiar with LTA and BCA standards;
• Minimum 6 years relevant design experience in Bridges and Viaducts within a technical consultancy;
• Experience in working collaboratively in seamless teams to build consensus and confidence and able to interface with other discipline leads;
• Very good experience in Elevated MRT / Road Projects

Objective: Responsible for assisting the Project Lead on supervising the progress of site works and ensuring that the necessary measures to guarantee the project management targets are in place.

Responsibilities

• Work with Project Manager to manage project related tasks to achieve the project objectives on time and within the cost target by strictly enforcing quality, safety, and customer satisfaction throughout the entire duration of the project.
• Ensure performance targets are achieved.
• Provide regular site progress update status to project manager.
• Ensure compliance to Schindler Organizational Norms, policies, procedures and requirements of the process and quality hold points defined in the work instructions of the Top Range Excellence / Fulfilment Plus process.
• Ensure product line-based installation checklists are progressively checked, signed and filed
• Conduct toolbox meeting minimum 2 times / month
• Monitor and review overall installation and T & C timeline and preparation of catch-up proposal, if applicable.
• Conduct weekly site progress meeting with subcontractors, monitor and supervise to ensure the subcontractors comply to the quality procedures & standard of workmanship. Checking on quality and quantity of work by subcontractors.
• Preparation of detailed program for the site team to follow accordingly & completed in time.
• Resolve drawing discrepancies & technical difficulties with Drawing team.
• Coordinates between sub-contractors/vendors/internal departments and monitor site manpower / material / equipment demands to meet schedules.
• Liaise with the Consultants on the submission related to structural works and Drawing Department.
• Plan all works on site, including program schedules and construction methods, forecast equipment, material and manpower requirement, and control usage and wastages of all.
• Adherence to safety practices in the workplace.

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Engineering, Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• Experienced for more than three years in similar roles in building / civil projects or in the elevator and escalator industry.
• Experience in construction, installation, and site co-ordination management.
• Good spoken and written English
• IT Skills: MS-Office, MS- Project, SAP, Share Point.
