Job Description: Senior Manager Asia Pacific Communications

Position Description: the Senior Manager Asia Pacific Communications will be responsible for the development and execution of regional communication plans that drive stakeholder engagement internally and externally across the Asia Pacific region. The role requires an ongoing, proactive and thoughtful assessment of the external regional environment, business priorities and key trends to plan, develop and execute impactful programs. Role Overview:

The Marketing Communications (Marcom) Manager will play a pivotal role in planning and executing media strategies with industry media, enhancing visitor experiences, and developing high-quality marketing content. Key responsibilities include supporting and advising site colleagues/leaders in their communication efforts, enhancing content management and development, utilizing various communication channels, and implementing innovative solutions to engage both “wired” and “non-wired” manufacturing employees. Additionally, the specialist will assist with issues management communications and foster employee engagement across all levels and divisions within the facility.

The Site Communications Specialist will collaborate closely with the Site Communications Lead and work with colleagues across corporate and divisional communications, as well as functional leaders at the site. This position reports directly to the Site Communications Lead of the client’s Manufacturing Division in Singapore.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Coordinates and implements communication plans, empowering leaders and stakeholders with the information and tools they need to inform and engage their teams.
• Identify opportunities to promote employee engagement and help foster a positive work culture
• Establishes and creates written, verbal, and visual content that:

o Aids employees in understanding enterprise and divisional business goals, as well as site-specific priorities.

o Delivers appropriate messages with the right cadence, channels, and formats (including presentations, talking points, stories, video scripts, and intranet content).

o Tailors content to resonate with the diverse workforce in the manufacturing division, from shop floor colleagues to leaders and champions

• Ensures all materials and content align with the company's branding guidelines and corporate messaging.
• Assist in telling stories to highlight the culture and benefits of working at the organization with prospective and current team members.
• Work with a community of content and subject matter experts across the site to share best practice and identify emerging needs so as to provide editorial stewardship for internal communications and related activities to improved engagement for site colleagues.
• Assist with the creation and presentation of PowerPoint slide decks and other presentation materials for use in meetings and forums.
• Actively seeks feedback regarding communications from stakeholders, sharing insights with communications partners in both the manufacturing division to apply best practices and refine communications tactics.
• Will perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in any field
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in internal employee communications.
• A creative problem solver with excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in digital communication channels.
• Possesses passion, enthusiasm, and a growth mindset to drive results.
• Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional projects successfully.
• A hands-on individual capable of guiding projects from concept to implementation.

About the role
We are seeking a Temporary Executive (Communications) to join the National Institute of Early Childhood Development (NIEC) in the West Region on a 6-month contract. The individual will be supporting the team mainly in the areas of content creation, collaterals and branding.

What you'll be doing

• Assist in the development and editing of communication materials including posters, brochures, social media graphics and EDMs
• Handle copywriting, designing and production of print and digital collaterals
• Help manage and coordinate communication projects and outreach events including logistics arrangements, preparation of event materials, liaising work and participation on-site and virtual
• Help track, analyse and compile reports on the performance of media coverage, communication campaigns and initiatives using tools like Google Analytics, social media analytics, and email campaign metrics
• Collaborate closely with teams from various departments and students to gather insights, consolidate inputs and create content that supports communication goals

What we're looking for

• Current Polytechnic or University student in marketing or communications discipline
• Possess experience in graphic design and video editing skills
• Possess experience in copywriting, designing and production of both print/digital collaterals
• Good organisational and time management skills with great attention to detail
• You are a self-starter and collaborative team player
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Hands-on knowledge of Graphic Design Software i.e. Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Canva, and social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, Telegram)
• Good command of English with solid writing skills; bilingualism is a plus
