The Director of Marketing and Communications, Asia Pacific (AP) is an integral part of the AP resource mobilization and engagement leadership team and global marketing and communications function. They are instrumental in advancing TNC’s 2030 goals through communications that engage and excite influential audiences. Working closely with TNC leaders, they will lead a diverse and enthusiastic marketing and communications team across multiple locations in the region to develop and implement strategies that align with the overall goals of TNC Asia Pacific’s strategic plan.

The Director of Marketing & Communications, Asia Pacific develops and implements an integrated, efficient, and effective marketing and communications strategy to help achieve the organization’s 2030 goals. The Director of Marketing & Communications, Asia Pacific works closely with and manages relations with internal key stakeholders including senior management, internal teams, donors, and external key stakeholders and partners to achieve regional goals. They may be responsible for presenting analysis and recommendations to Trustees and AP Council members.

The Director of Marketing & Communications, Asia Pacific leads communication and marketing efforts for both internal and external audiences, including integrated themes, consistent messaging, compelling campaigns, and collateral materials. Duties include:

• Designs, directs, and manages a coordinated marketing and communications strategy across the Asia-Pacific region, overseeing multiple complex and diverse programs or projects—including but not limited to strategic brand development, digital marketing, earned and social media strategy, events strategy, executive thought leadership and crisis communications.
• Collaborates with senior marketing leadership on regional and global levels to synthesize core TNC marketing initiatives for optimal performance in Asia Pacific markets.

RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE

AP & Global Collaboration:

· Collaborate with TNC leaders, internal and external key stakeholders, including executive leadership and internal teams, donors, and volunteers to achieve regional goals.

· Work closely with senior marketing leadership on regional and global levels to synthesize core TNC marketing initiatives for optimal performance in the AP market.

· Provide strategic leadership in managing a decentralized but integrated marketing and communications structure across the Asia Pacific region.

Regional Team Management:

Program Management:

Responsibilities

Elevating Brand Awareness:

• Work closely with our PR team to develop and implement brand awareness and engagement campaigns for greater reach, engagement and share of voice. Collaborate on media relations efforts, press releases, and media events to maximize brand exposure.
• Collaborate with the Social Media Community team to identify and partner with relevant influencers and content creators. Ensure their content aligns with our brand values and objectives to reach new audiences.
• Partner closely with the Brand & Commercial team to optimize owned channels such as brand.com and CRM. Tailor messaging to suit various funnel stages, ensuring targeted and impactful marketing efforts.

On-Brand Content Strategy and Execution:

• Develop and execute compelling and on-brand content across various channels to engage and resonate with our target audience.
• Ensure consistent brand expression across all customer-facing materials used by Corporate and Hotel teams:

1. Verbal: Manage messaging and tone of voice.
2. Visual: Oversee the development and approval of marketing and communication assets, including photos and videos.

Support Hotels:

• Partner pre-opening properties in the development of their Marketing and Communication plans.
• Executing re-positioning projects for key outlets or properties based on business needs and/or market changes
• Planning and executing HQ-led activations and/or partnerships on property alongside other functions

Brand Campaign Development:

• Assist in the creation and execution of brand campaigns, including concept development, messaging, and creative direction.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of brand campaigns.
• Consult on and advise segment-specific campaigns targeting various customer segments such as families, couples, or wellbeing enthusiasts alongside the Customer Insights team. Collaborate with internal teams to identify key messages and creative elements that resonate with each segment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing communications; hospitality industry experience is a plus.
• Experience with building brands through psychographic targeting and utilizing data to inform decision-making and campaign development.
• Proven track record of end-to-end development of engaging and impactful campaigns across multiple channels and mediums.
• Skilled in brand storytelling with experience customizing global brand narratives for different regions, considering regional needs and nuances.
• Team player with good interpersonal and project management skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize projects effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Marketing and Communications Manager

The role

As part of our effort to boost brand awareness and generate leads, you will plan, execute, and evaluate advertising campaigns such as Instagram posts, Google Ads and Facebook Ads. As our M&C manager, you oversee the school’s social media accounts, ensuring that all platforms deliver consistent, engaging, and on-brand messaging.

Success in this role also requires leading the redesign of our website and serving as the main point of contact for event management, including open houses, school fairs, and community engagement activities. In this role, you will collaborate with the Principal and school leadership to align marketing efforts with broader school goals.

In your collaboration with our Finance department, you monitor expenditures and optimise resource allocation. You will work closely with colleagues in the Business department, teachers, and the Principal and school leadership to promote Holland International School within Singapore and internationally.

Your responsibilities

• Drive our school’s marketing with passion and purpose by planning, designing, managing and evaluating the marketing (and communications) activities aimed at our target audiences.
• Track the performance of marketing activities using KPIs (e.g., enrollment trends, web traffic, lead generation) and present regular reports and actionable insights to the Principal and school leadership for data-driven decisions.
• Develop and oversee communication materials like brochures, newsletters, and digital content, strengthening the school’s visibility and reputation among all stakeholders.
• Act as the school’s spokesperson, managing media relations, and building relationships both externally with media outlets and internally with staff, parents and stakeholders.
• Analyse campaign performance (ROI, audience reach) and provide recommendations for ongoing improvements.
• Collaborate with the Principal and school leadership to position Holland International School as a leading choice for international education in Singapore.
• Maintain up-to-date website content and optimise SEO to increase organic traffic.
• Partner with the Admissions department to ensure event success and alignment with strategic objectives.

You have:

• A Master’s or Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Communication or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years experience in marketing, preferably in the education sector
• Experience as a team lead, actively and successfully driving the marketing strategy within an organisation by taking initiative and liaising with senior management.
• Proven experience in developing and executing successful marketing strategies, with strong project management skills and a hands-on mentality.
• Experience with budgeting and resource management processes and expertise in social media management, SEO, SEM, and Google Analytics.
• A proven track record creating content for social media such as Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Canva, and content management systems.
• The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
• Excellent English communication and writing skills. Proficiency in Dutch, Mandarin and/or French is a plus.

We offer you

A temporary contract until June 30th from the date of employment (potential for renewal). Part of the benefits package is a salary ranging between SGD 5,000 to. SGD 6,500, a monthly transport allowance and 25 holidays based on a year contract, all based on a 40-hour workweek.
