• Identify and resolve complex issues and develop innovative solutions for high profile clients on a variety of local and international engagements

The ideal candidate should possess:

• Minimum 4 years of consulting experience in Red Teaming/Pentesting and possesses industry recognised certifications (e.g. CISSP, OSCP, CRT, CREST, CRTP)
• Passionate and able to demonstrate strong interest in the field of cyber security, in particular technical assessments/reviews
• Experienced and well versed in security testing domains. For example, red teaming and threat intelligence, web/network/mobile/cloud/thick client vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
• Experienced and demonstrates strong understanding and capability to lead/execute red teaming engagements encompassing intel-led approach, from planning to execution of red team exercises, create/develop/implement TTPs based on profiles of specific threat actors against industry frameworks and best practices, and to exercise closure.
• Ability to lead, manage, oversee cyber multiple engagements across multi security testing disciplines independently and cohesively with the engagement team
• Able to demonstrate strong project management skills in areas such as meeting requirements, timelines, documentations, overseeing risk management aspects in a project lifecycle
• Possesses strong understanding of IT risks and its business context/impact
• Possesses excellent written and communication skills to translate and communicate with C-Suite clients, direct reports and team members
• Self-driven, possesses strong desire to learn and identify new technologies and services, and willingness to share knowledge with the team

Focus of the role

As a Technical Consultant, you pride yourself on your exceptional technical capability and service excellence. In this role your mission is to ultimately increase Telstra’s Purple’s market share, by securing and delivering outstanding IT consulting solutions to our enterprise customers. You provide consulting services and lead medium-large scale engagements across our customer portfolio, often managing multiple engagements at a time. Your technical and commercial acumen, passion for customer engagement, strong communication skills and experience in delivering both pre and post sales activities are critical to success in this role.

What you’ll do
As a Technical Consultant, you leverage your technical domain knowledge (e.g. Network, Network Security, Data Centre, Cloud Wireless, or Cyber Security) and experience in delivering Business Technology Consulting services to deliver the following responsibilities:

• Contribute to pre-sales activities, including reviewing inbound statements of work (SOWs), validating and quantifying scope variations, providing technical guidance, and participating in kick-off meetings to ensure all relevant information has been handed over from sales to set up delivery for success
• Leverage your subject-matter expertise and strong understanding/translation of customer requirements to scope best-practice services and solutions in line with financial and performance targets. This includes taking ownership of Low Level Design (LLD) documentation, and leading of design workshops
• Create high-level migration plans, input into the design, development and delivery of multiple technology consulting engagements; providing technical authority for the overall design, approach and customer deliverables, and ensuring they are delivered in line with quality, cost and time standards
• Significantly contribute to project management activities, breaking projects down into clear outcomes, milestones and deliverables, and delegating activities to the team (e.g. planning, design, implementation, documentation) to ensure maximum and efficient utilisation of available resources
• Act as a central point of customer contact for technical communications and escalations, and leverage your deep experience and lessons learned to develop issue mitigation strategies and support your team in resolving risks to service delivery
• Continuously develop your own knowledge, skills and understanding of industry best practice/technologies, and share your knowledge

About You

The ideal candidate will have highly developed skills and experience in customer management, development, enterprise consulting and development solutions, including:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience with relevant technologies
• Experience in designing/delivery of key development solutions into Azure or AWS
• Experience in delivery of web front end development stacks such as HTML and JavaScript and/or experience in delivery of mobile development stacks
• Exposure to multiple agile methodologies, best practices and development technologies
• Ability to provide advisory and present solutions to clients
