Roles & Responsibilities
Job Description
· Reviewing construction plans and preparing quantity requirements.
· Scrutinizing maintenance and material costs, as well as contracts to ensure the best deals.
· Liaising with site managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
· Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessments, and other documents.
· Advising managers and clients on improvements and new strategies.
· Responsible for raising/typing purchase requisitions, requests for quotes from suppliers, and purchase orders.
· Responsible for procurement of business system data input and integrity.
· Responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing Construction Materials.
· Review and analyse purchase requisitions.
· Liaise and follow up with suppliers/vendors.
· Monitor the costs, schedules, and scopes of assigned subcontracts to negotiate the highest quality at best value.
· Make sure the correct items are quoted & match with site requirements.
· Interact closely with suppliers and Engineers to resolve quality issues.
· Matching of supplier’s invoices with supporting documents such as
· PR, PO & DO.
· Prepare relevant reports for purchasing.
· Maintain up-to-date prices from suppliers.
· Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Department.
· Any other task assigned by the Company.
Quantity Surveyor Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying or similar.
· Work experience with Singapore for two years.
· Construction estimating or finance experience is advantageous.
· Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
· Sound knowledge of construction.
· Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to organize, plan, and strategize.
· Great networking abilities.
