BIM Implementation and Management:
- Oversee and manage the overall implementation of BIM across projects.
- Ensure adherence to established BIM standards, protocols, and best practices.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop project-specific BIM execution plans.
- Establish and manage BIM workflows, model integration, and coordination.
- Implement new BIM technologies and tools to improve project outcomes.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor a team of BIM coordinators and technicians.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure BIM is integrated effectively into the design and construction processes.
- Facilitate BIM coordination meetings and manage clash detection and resolution.
- Provide BIM-related training and support to staff and project teams.
Project Coordination and Quality Control:
- Ensure accurate, consistent, and high-quality BIM models and data across all stages of the project lifecycle.
- Review and validate BIM models for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
- Manage and monitor BIM-related schedules and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
- Perform quality control checks on BIM data, including clash detection, model validation, and ensuring consistency between disciplines.
Software and System Management:
- Maintain and update BIM software tools and platforms (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, etc.).
- Work with IT teams to ensure BIM software is up-to-date and fully integrated with other project management systems.
- Troubleshoot software-related issues and assist with technical support.
Process Improvement and Innovation:
- Continuously evaluate and improve BIM processes to ensure they align with project requirements and industry standards.
- Research and incorporate new BIM technologies, trends, and innovations into the company's workflows.
- Monitor BIM performance and make recommendations for improvements based on project feedback and outcomes.
Client and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Communicate BIM progress, challenges, and achievements to clients and stakeholders.
- Provide technical support and assistance to external partners, clients, and consultants involved in BIM processes.
- Ensure that all BIM documentation is prepared and delivered according to client specifications.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in BIM management or related roles in the architecture, engineering, or construction industry.
- Proven experience leading BIM teams and managing large-scale projects
- Experience with BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, AutoCAD, and other related tools.
- Strong knowledge of BIM standards, protocols, and processes (e.g., ISO 19650, BIM Level 2).
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Strong leadership abilities and experience in team management.
- Proficiency in data management and model coordination.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide support to team members.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of construction and design workflows, including clash detection, coordination, and integration.
