In this role, you will be responsible for managing the entire project lifecycle for plumbing and sanitary installations, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. You will work closely with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution and high standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution
- Plan, execute, and oversee all plumbing and sanitary project activities from inception to completion.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
- Ensure compliance with all local building codes and regulations.
Team Leadership and Supervision
- Lead and manage a team of technicians, subcontractors, and laborers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Conduct regular site inspections and ensure the team follows safety protocols and quality standards
- Provide direction and guidance to on-site staff to resolve issues that may arise during project execution.
Client Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status, timelines, and budget.
- Address client concerns or inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Manage and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Budget and Resource Management:
- Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring that projects are completed within budget constraints.
- Procure materials and manage inventory to ensure timely availability of resources.
- Track project expenses and manage cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
Risk Management and Problem Solving
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Resolve any issues that may arise during the course of the project, including design changes, delays, and unforeseen obstacles.
- Maintain a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuously improve processes.
Reporting and Documentation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, change orders, progress reports, and safety records.
- Provide regular progress reports to senior management and clients.
- Ensure timely submission of invoices and tracking of payments.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management, preferably in the plumbing, sanitary, or construction industry.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, sanitary installations, and construction processes.
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, etc.).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Solid understanding of budgeting, cost control, and resource management.
- Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or similar is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to visit construction sites and perform site inspections regularly.
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions (outdoors, construction sites).
