Quantity Surveyor
- Secure new contracts / projects, administer all project contracts
- Prepare tender and contract documents including bills of quantities;
- Undertake costs analysis for all project trade works;
- Establish client’s requirements and undertake feasibility studies with project team, perform value management and cost control;
- Execute procurement strategy and propose refinements / improvements;
- Identify, analyze and develop responses to commercial risks;
- Prepare and analyze costing for tenders;
- Analyze tender outcome and prepare detailed reports for review;
- Allocate work to subcontractors;
- Evaluate completed work and arrange payments;
- Monitor Gebiz, SESAMi, newspaper notices and other platforms for private and public tender and quotations;
- Maintain awareness of the current building contracts;
- Ensure compliance with relevant ISO and company standards or objectives;
- Keep abreast of relevant regulations such as Security of Payment Act (SOP), etc.
Project Engineer
- Coordinate with clients / main contractor, architect, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors;
- Conduct preliminary surveys of the construction site;
- Responsible for submission of technical drawings, work schedules and samples for clients / main contractor's approval;
- Undertake structural analysis, calculations and prepare design sketches and drawings indicating arrangement and design intent for a variety of building structures;
- Review and check shop drawings and built drawings;
- Attend site meetings with owners / subcontractors;
- Responsible for overall aspects of the management of subcontractors;
- Plan, work, schedule and delivery of equipment and materials to site;
- Responsible for monthly progress claims and project costing;
- Raise material requisition for local material ordering
- Ensure that all formalities such as permits and clearances are obtained from respective government agencies;
- Work closely with Consultants, Regulatory Authorities and Contractors, to provide planning, design and supervision to solve site matters and timely completion of the projects;
- Take part in the project plan and give inputs regarding implementation;
- Coordinate and manage Sub-contractors and Supervisors on site to ensure all works comply fully with regulatory and Client’s requirements;
- Update progress of construction work to Project / Site Manager
- Keep in touch with designers, architects, consultants and suppliers to ensure that construction is on schedule;
- Ensure implementation and sustaining of construction quality and safety programme;
- Prepare Method Statement, Risk Assessment and Safe Work Procedure;
- Process suppliers and sub-contractors (progress) claims;
- Ensure compliance with time and money constraints or budgets for projects; with relevant QMS, OHSAS, EMS and company standards and policies.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Preferably Degree in Quantity Surveying or Engineering (Civil / Structural / Construction)
- Process relevant skills in MS Office, AutoCad, Microsoft Project
- At least 3 years working experience in the related field preferably min. 2 years experience in Building Construction specializing in Quantity Surveying or Engineering in Civil / Construction / Structural
- Good communication skills in both oral and written English and has the ability to liaise effectively with other professionals, e.g. clients / developers, main contractors, construction managers, quantity surveyors, subcontractors, architects, designers, other engineers, consultants, suppliers, etc.
- Possess excellent negotiation and coordination skills and able to work in fast paced environment
