Job description

Your responsibilities include:

1. Be a part of the service delivery team which plans, promotes and executes quality service delivery to enhance customer experience at IPOS;
2. Work with stakeholder and/or using technology for resolutions or implement initiatives to improve service experience and customer satisfaction; and to ensure that the customer service processes meet evolving needs;
3. Support IPOS’ engagement efforts with our key business stakeholders in areas including marketing, planning and execution of promotional programmes/exhibitions aimed at helping enterprises identify, protect and use intangible assets to grow;
4. Plan and organise events, of various scales, that bring global IP policy makers, IP professionals and businesses together including World IP Day and IP Week @ SG; and
5. Support any ad-hoc department and/or cross-department initiatives or projects.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

• Maintain a strong understanding of the inhouse IT system used in the management of patents, designs, and plant varieties protection applications.
• Work closely with vendors and users of the IT system to implement system enhancements and rectify issues
• Evaluate vendor solutions to ensure they are the most suitable option for meeting business requirements. Make recommendations to improve the proposed solutions.
• Conduct thorough testing to ensure quality and functionality of the solution.
• Identify gaps and opportunities for improvements to optimise the overall user experience of the IT system.

Site Engineer Responsibilities:

1. Organizing materials and ensuring sites are safe and clean.
2. Preparing cost estimates and ensuring appropriate materials and tools are available.
3. Providing technical advice and suggestions for improvement on particular projects.
4. Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment as required.
5. Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to ensure the best contracts.
6. Authorizing technical drawings and engineering plans.
7. Drawing up work schedules and communicating any adjustments to crew members and clients.
8. Gathering data, compiling reports and delivering presentations to relevant stakeholders.
9. Delegating tasks and scheduling meetings and training sessions where required.
10. Completing quality assurance and providing feedback to the team.
11. Support Construction Project Manager on subcontractors sourcing, issuing, work scope clarification, sub-contractors evaluation & selection, cost negotiation and PO issuance.
12. Coordinating and liaising with selected subcontractors to ensure they are in line with company planning and execution. To discuss and clarify the detail of scope of work, execution plan, issue resolution and technical issue resolution.
13. Coordinating with all engineering disciplines to ensure design, cost and client’s requirement can be achieved.
14. Handling of issued drawings to ensure latest drawings to be applied.
15. Working closely with scheduler, subcontractors and clients to plan ahead and schedule critical work paths in order to avoid delays or obstructions on mechanical completion.
16. Day to day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the work progress, site labour force and any work of subcontractors.
17. Knowledge in steel and rebar projects.
18. Overseeing quality control and health and safety matters on site.
19. Identify and resolve all technical issues in Construction process.
20. Need to provide technical solutions to the issues and should groom supervisors to next level.
21. Liaising with any vendors, consultant, supervisors, subcontractors and the general workforce involved in the project.
22. Assist Construction Manager to monitor and manage the overall construction cost, including subcontractors’ progress billing, construction expenses and cost of variation order.
23. Prepare and submit the weekly and monthly progress/construction reports to management.

Site Engineer Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, construction, or similar.
2. Experience in a similar role.
3. Good knowledge of Engineering, construction, and design.
4. Great leadership and organizational skills.
5. Superb project management skills.
6. Ability to apply logical and critical thinking skills to projects.
7. Great written and verbal communication skills.
8. A willingness to learn.
9. Willing to work Night Shift
10. Knowledge in AutoCad will be Advantages
11. Quantity Callculation Skills
12. Microsoft Office will be Advandage.

Skills and experiences required

· Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in the construction industry in Singapore

· Demonstrated experience in managing and co-ordinating large-scale construction projects effectively, within budget and timeline, performing as a Project Manager role

· Willing to work extended hours and/or on weekends & public holidays when urgently required

· A team player with initiative, drive and a positive attitude

· Possess Construction Safety Course for Project Manager Certificate (CSCPM)

· Singaporean / Singapore PR preferred

· Preferably able to commence immediately

Duties & Responsibilities

· Able to plan, oversee and manage all phases of company construction projects

· Develop and maintain project schedule, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards while adhering to local building regulations and safety requirements.

· Provide the direction in construction planning to ensure overall construction progress is based on schedule of works.

· Manage Client relationship and expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

· Manage all coordination and communications with Consultants, Architects, Subcontractors and authorities (BCA, URA, etc) to ensure smooth project execution

· Monitor project costs and implement effective cost control measures

· Oversee project documentation including Temporary Occupation Permit (TOP) and Certificate of Statutory Completion (CSC)

· Lead and motivate project teams

Qualifications & Other requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or its equivalent
• At least 6 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of LTA regulations and BCA standards.
• MS Office at least to intermediate level

Role & Responsibilities:

• The role reports to the Project Manager
• Resolve and coordinate technical issues with Consultants/ Authorities
• Liaise and coordinate works with subcontractors
• Provide support to supervisors in relation to site works
• Ensure site safety and work with safety personnel to regulate safety standards on site
• Ensure quality standards are maintained, site inspections are carried out and technical/drawing issues are resolved on time
• Ensure proper documentation according to our ISO system
• Any other supporting role on site that may be required from time to time
