What they do: On the job, you would:

• Reading blueprints or looking at sketches to determine how to install rebar or mesh
• Figuring out the quantity, size, and shapes of reinforcing rods and determining where to place them
• Preparing rebar and mesh for installation using metal shears, hacksaws, and torches
• Bending or welding rebar together
• Installing cables
• Using pliers to tie wire around rods to fasten them together
• Positioning and securing rods, cables, mesh, or rebar in concrete forms

Job Description:

• Report to Construction Manager/Project Manager
• To assist in site supervision works
• Coordinate internally with inter-department and externally with clients & consultants
• Coordinating for the project planning, documentation and execution of works on site
• Coordination, supervision & monitoring of the progress of the project works on site, manpower mobilization, materials planning & ordering
• Coordinate with the contractor and suppliers on all project implementation issues and attend site meetings when required
• Coordinate for all submissions
• Produce weekly site progress report and necessary submissions
• Attend meetings, conduct site inspection on work progress to ensure quality control in accordance to meet authority requirements.

Job Requirement：

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• At least 2 Year of working experience in the related field is required for this position

• Manage tender works including provide the directions on planning, construction technique, quality of tender submission documents, risk and issue management, tender price negotiation with suppliers and subcons for finalization.
• Assess tender documents, scope of works, checking the feasibility for qualification, financial criteria.
• Prepare presentations, risk matrix, information to top management to get approval for bidding.
• Responsible for the technical & commercial bids as per the tender requirements.

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering (PE Board recognised)
• At least 8 years of experience working as a Project Manager in Construction/Construction Management handling building projects in Singapore for mega projects.
• Good understanding of all aspects of construction projects effectively and efficiently.
• Strong knowledge of legal issues and safety standards.
