• Ensure mechanical systems comply with bio-pharma industry standards such as GMP, FDA, and ISO requirements.

Technical Expertise:

• Provide guidance on specialized systems such as HVAC, cleanrooms, utility systems, and process piping.

Resource Management:

• Oversee the allocation of manpower, materials, and equipment to optimize efficiency.

Responsibilities:

1. Planning and Coordination:

• Develop detailed schedules and workflows for mechanical construction activities.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including civil, electrical, and process engineers.

2. Supervision and Execution:

• Oversee the installation of critical systems such as:
  • HVAC for temperature and humidity control.
  • Process Piping for clean utilities like water for injection (WFI) and clean steam.
  • Compressed Air Systems and other mechanical utilities.
• Ensure cleanroom mechanical installations align with industry cleanliness classifications.

3. Quality Assurance and Testing:

• Conduct inspections and supervise the testing and validation of mechanical systems.
• Ensure adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

4. Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure all activities follow safety regulations and risk management protocols.
• Maintain compliance with bio-pharma industry standards and certifications.

5. Budget and Resource Management:

• Monitor project budgets, cost estimations, and resource allocations.
• Manage procurement and delivery schedules for mechanical equipment and materials.

6. Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:

• Identify and resolve issues related to mechanical construction, design discrepancies, or on-site challenges.
• Provide quick and effective solutions to minimize delays.

7. Documentation and Reporting:

• Prepare and maintain accurate records, including:
  • As-built drawings.
  • Commissioning and validation reports.
  • Progress updates for stakeholders.

8. Team Leadership:

• Supervise and mentor on-site mechanical teams and contractors.
• Conduct training sessions on bio-pharma-specific mechanical systems and best practices.

9. Project Handover:

• Ensure mechanical systems are fully functional and validated before project handover.
• Collaborate with operations teams to transition systems for facility use.

• Preparation of Bills Of Quantities and cost estimation during tender and post contract for construction project

• Monitoring and updating project budget including cost control and forecasting all project related costs

• Procurement and negotiation with Subcontractors and suppliers to obtain the best prices and terms for tender and awarded Project.

• Preparation of Subcontract agreement including maintaining proper documentation.

• Certification and preparation of subcontractor interim payment certificate/ final account including maintaining accurate and proper payment records

• Familiar with construction condition of contract ie SIA and PSSCO

• Attend to tender briefing/site showround and project site meeting

• Experience on various construction project including residential, commercial, upgrading and A&A sites

• Proficiency with BIM, CAD and relevant quantity surveying takeoff software and tools

• Ability to work independently
