JOB DESCRIPTION
· SURVEYING & MEASUREMENTS:
- Conduct accurate field surveys to establish control points, benchmarks, and reference lines.
- Perform detailed topographical surveys, monitoring the progress of the project to ensure alignment with design specifications.
- Calculate and document quantities for materials, work completed, and overall project progress.
- Regularly update as-built drawings, marking any deviations from the original design.
· SITE SUPERVISION:
- Monitor the positioning of the construction site works, ensuring that all installations, flyover alignments, and structures conform to approved plans.
- Work with construction teams to resolve any discrepancies between design plans and actual site conditions.
- Maintain precise records of the surveying and measurement activities.
- Supervise and guide junior surveyors and subcontractors.
· QUALITY CONTROL & COMPLIANCE:
- Verify compliance with all relevant building codes, safety standards, and LTA guidelines for the flyover project.
- Conduct regular checks on instrumentation and equipment to ensure accuracy.
- Coordinate with engineers to ensure project milestones are met on time and within scope.
- Identify and resolve any surveying issues, ensuring minimal delays in construction.
· REPORTING & DOCUMENTATION:
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for the Project Manager, detailing survey activities, completed work, and any issues encountered.
- Document all survey data accurately, ensuring the proper filing of hard and soft copies.
- Assist with the preparation of as-built drawings and design updates.
· COORDINATION & COMMUNICATION:
- Liaise with the construction team and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of the project.
- Attend site meetings to provide updates on survey progress and address any concerns.
- Provide technical support to project teams when required, offering solutions to resolve survey-related issues.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Registered Resident Surveyor with the Singapore Institute of Surveyors and Valuers (SISV)
- in using surveying equipment and software.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, methodologies, and project phases.
- Knowledge of Singapore’s LTA standards and building regulations is an advantage.
