• Order and load the materials and equipment needed for the cable laying work. Planning the suitable crew rotation schedule and the operation schedule. Cable installation project planning support.

Defect warranty

• When a machine problem occurs, troubleshoot to identify the cause and resolve it after delivery. Negotiate compensation with the shipyard in the event of a problem occurring and maintain the ship in a sound condition.

Cable laying Project Operation and Vessel Maintenance

• Quickly identify the cause of mechanical or electrical troubles in the working vessels and establish a proper restore/repair plan. Take precautions to prevent troubles on working vessels.
• Handle operational issues, repairs, and/or modifications to Cable laying Vessel fleet.
• Liaise and coordinate with various stakeholders, Vessel masters shipyard and vendors to schedule repairs and maintenance needed for the operations. Prepare proposals for docking requirements and specifications. Check and Ensure that spare parts inventory management and condition are sufficient to support repair and maintenance schedules.
• Ensure quality, environment, health & safety requirements are met.

Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years of higher education in mechanical and/or naval engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of experience with designing for installation of special equipment in shipyards.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in considering ship specifications at companies operating work vessels.
• Experience in shipbuilding projects for special vessels that require advanced technical capabilities in Power/Air supply systems, Mechanical alignment, Procurement and overseeing vendors.
• Experience in boarding cable-laying vessels with a cable capacity of 10,000 tons or more.
• Expert knowledge of cable laying equipment installed on cable laying vessels.
• Expert knowledge of cable laying work using cable laying vessels.
• Good knowledge of Working class ROV and Trencher.
• Good knowledge of marine engineering, structural mechanics, ship design and mechanical design.

To validate our approaches for our AI system and to collect data, we invented an automatic tile grouting robot that boosts productivity by up to 5x and are piloting it on construction sites in Singapore managed by Woh Hup, BHCC, Gin Chia, Soilbuild, Chan Rong Fen, and Dragages. Tile grouting is the process of filling up the gaps between tiles after the tiles have been laid. We invented a patented robot that is able to automatically grout and clean tile gaps with only a press of a button.

Job Purpose

The Business Development Manager is responsible for pursuing sales opportunities to sell Geotechnical Instrumentation and monitoring, Site Investigation, and related testing services to clients across the Construction Industry. Reporting directly to the Sales Director (Asia), the BDM is responsible for driving and achieving growth with High Touch Accounts and by prospecting for new opportunities with new clients. The role is expected to exercise appropriate leadership to maximize team effectiveness working seamlessly with our Quantity Surveyors, lab managers, and operational and leadership teams who all play an active part in sales, alongside the Company's Global Technical Leaders where necessary. The successful candidate will also have an opportunity to progress to a sales responsibility for the full breadth of the company's construction services and beyond.
